A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

B. Make the thrust reverser unserviceable (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-481-041).

C. Get Access
(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) in position at zone 410 or 420.
(2) Remove the Lower Aft Pylon Fairing (Ref. AMM TASK 54-56-00-000-001).

D. Make the thrust reverser unserviceable (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-012).

(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) in position at zone 410 or 420.
(2) Remove the Lower Aft Pylon Fairing (Ref. AMM TASK 54-56-00-000-002).

A. Inspection

Visual Inspection of Pylon Drain System ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

(1) Visual inspection of the pylon drain system.
(a) Do a detailed visual inspection of the drain line.
(b) Make sure that the drain inlets are not obstructed. Use a FLASHLIGHT and a MIRROR - INSPECTION if necessary.
(c) Examine the line to make sure that there are no cracks, marks, corrosion or other damage.
(d) Make sure that the lines are correctly attached.

5. Close-up

A. Make the thrust reverser serviceable (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-081-041).

Subtask 54-50-00-410-057-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

B. Close Access
(1) Install the Lower Aft Pylon Fairing (Ref. AMM TASK 54-56-00-400-001).
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).

C. Make the thrust reverser serviceable (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-440-012).

D. Close Access
(1) Install the Lower Aft Pylon Fairing (Ref. AMM TASK 54-56-00-400-002).
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
