Subtask 52-11-22-010-068-A
A. Get Access
(2) Open the applicable passenger/crew door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-010-001).
(3) Obey the special precautions before you start the work on the door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-860-001).
Subtask 52-11-22-865-057-A WARNING:
DO NOT OPEN THE PASSENGER/CREW DOOR IF THE WIND SPEED IS MORE THAN 65 KNOTS.
WARNING:
BEFORE YOU START WORK ON THE DOOR, MAKE SURE THAT:
- THE EMERGENCY CONTROL HANDLE IS IN THE DISARMED POSITION WITH THE SAFETY PIN INSTALLED.
- THE PERCUSSION LEVER OF THE DOOR-DAMPER AND EMERGENCY-OPERATION CYLINDER IS IN THE DISARMED POSITION WITH THE SAFETY PIN INSTALLED.
WARNING:
STOP THE OPENING PROCEDURE IF THE RED WARNING LIGHT FLASHES. IF THE RED WARNING LIGHT FLASHES, REMAINING PRESSURE CAN CAUSE THE DOOR TO OPEN SUDDENLY AND CAN:
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 5M (16 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position in front of applicable passenger/crew door 831 or 841. - KILL OR CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY TO PERSONS
- CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.
(2) Open the applicable passenger/crew door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-010-001).
(3) Obey the special precautions before you start the work on the door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-860-001).
B. Open, safety and tag this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Removal of the Components
(1) If installed, remove the escape slide pack-assembly:
(a) For the left door
(Ref. AMM TASK 25-62-44-000-002)
(b) For the right door
(Ref. AMM TASK 25-62-44-000-802).
(2) Remove door lining panels 831FZ, 831GZ, 831EZ, 831DZ, 831CZ, 831BZ and 831AZ (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-46-000-001).
(3) Remove the door insulation.
(4) Install the 98D52103501000 BALLAST WEIGHT - PASSENGER CREW DOOR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-480-001).
Subtask 52-11-22-010-066-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) If installed, remove the escape slide pack-assembly:
(a) For the left door
(Ref. AMM TASK 25-62-44-000-002)
(b) For the right door
(Ref. AMM TASK 25-62-44-000-802).
(2) Remove door lining panels 831FZ, 831GZ, 831EZ, 831DZ, 831CZ, 831BZ and 831AZ (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-46-000-001).
(3) Remove the door insulation.
(4) Install the 98D52103501000 BALLAST WEIGHT - PASSENGER CREW DOOR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-480-001).
C. Removal of Components
(1) Remove the escape slide:
(a) For the left door:
If installed, remove the left escape-slide raft pack-assembly (Ref. AMM TASK 25-62-44-000-012).
(b) For the right door:
If installed, remove the right escape-slide raft pack-assembly (Ref. AMM TASK 25-62-44-000-804)
(2) Remove door lining panels 831FZ 831GZ 831EZ 831DZ 831CZ 831BZ 831AZ (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-46-000-001).
(3) Remove the door insulation.
(4) Install the 98D52103501000 BALLAST WEIGHT - PASSENGER CREW DOOR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-480-001).
4. Procedure(1) Remove the escape slide:
(a) For the left door:
If installed, remove the left escape-slide raft pack-assembly (Ref. AMM TASK 25-62-44-000-012).
(b) For the right door:
If installed, remove the right escape-slide raft pack-assembly (Ref. AMM TASK 25-62-44-000-804)
(2) Remove door lining panels 831FZ 831GZ 831EZ 831DZ 831CZ 831BZ 831AZ (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-46-000-001).
(3) Remove the door insulation.
(4) Install the 98D52103501000 BALLAST WEIGHT - PASSENGER CREW DOOR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-480-001).
Subtask 52-11-22-820-050-A
A. Adjustment of the Emergency Control Handle
(1) Close the door from the inner part of the aircraft and put the emergency control handle in the ARMED position with the 98DNSA20206060 RIGGING PIN or the 98DNSA20206120 RIGGING PIN.
(3) If the stop (3) does not touch the emergency control handle, adjust as follows:
(a) Remove the 98DNSA20206060 RIGGING PIN or the 98DNSA20206120 RIGGING PIN.
(b) Remove the screw (4).
(c) Remove the adjustable washers (5) and (6).
(d) Apply Threadlocking Adhesive-- Medium strength - (Material No.05BAE1) on the new adjustable washers (5) and (6) and the screw (4).
(e) Install the new adjustable washers (5) and (6) and the screw (4).
(f) Tighten the screw (4).
(4) If the stop (3) touches the emergency control handle, put the emergency control handle in the DISARMED position.
(5) Install the 98D52103500000 SAFETY PIN - SLIDE ARMING.
(6) Fully engage the hook (1) in the emergency control handle.
(7) Make sure that clearance J1 is 0.1 +0 mm or +0.1 mm (0.0039 +0.0000 in. or +0.0039 in.).
(8) If clearance J1 is not in the tolerances, adjust the stop (3).
(9) TORQUE the stop (3) to between 0.4 and 0.3 m.daN (35.40 and 26.55 lbf.in )
.
(10) Remove the 98D52103500000 SAFETY PIN - SLIDE ARMING.
Subtask 52-11-22-820-051-A (1) Close the door from the inner part of the aircraft and put the emergency control handle in the ARMED position with the 98DNSA20206060 RIGGING PIN or the 98DNSA20206120 RIGGING PIN.
NOTE: The 98DNSA20206120 RIGGING PIN is an alternative to the 98DNSA20206060 RIGGING PIN. But, because of its length, you cannot use the 98DNSA20206120 RIGGING PIN at all the locations.
(2) Make sure that the stop (3) touches the emergency control handle. (3) If the stop (3) does not touch the emergency control handle, adjust as follows:
(a) Remove the 98DNSA20206060 RIGGING PIN or the 98DNSA20206120 RIGGING PIN.
(b) Remove the screw (4).
(c) Remove the adjustable washers (5) and (6).
(d) Apply Threadlocking Adhesive-- Medium strength - (Material No.05BAE1) on the new adjustable washers (5) and (6) and the screw (4).
(e) Install the new adjustable washers (5) and (6) and the screw (4).
(f) Tighten the screw (4).
(4) If the stop (3) touches the emergency control handle, put the emergency control handle in the DISARMED position.
(5) Install the 98D52103500000 SAFETY PIN - SLIDE ARMING.
(6) Fully engage the hook (1) in the emergency control handle.
(7) Make sure that clearance J1 is 0.1 +0 mm or +0.1 mm (0.0039 +0.0000 in. or +0.0039 in.).
(8) If clearance J1 is not in the tolerances, adjust the stop (3).
(9) TORQUE the stop (3) to between 0.4 and 0.3 m.daN (35.40 and 26.55 lbf.in )
. (10) Remove the 98D52103500000 SAFETY PIN - SLIDE ARMING.
B. Adjustment of the Lever Visual Indicator
(1) Make sure that the emergency control handle is in the DISARMED position.
(2) Put the inner control handle (10) in the door locked-down position.
(3) Make sure that the limit line between the red and green zones of the lever (12) is aligned with the upper edge of the indicator plate (15).
(4) If it is not aligned, adjust as follows:
(a) Loosen the stop (11).
(b) TORQUE the stop (11) to between 0.4 and 0.3 m.daN (35.40 and 26.55 lbf.in )

(c) Make sure that the stop (11) touches the lever (12).
(5) Put the emergency control handle in the DISARMED position.
(6) Make sure that clearance J2 between the hook (14) and the emergency control handle is 2 +0 mm or +0.5 mm (0.0787 +0.0000 in. or +0.0197 in.)
(7) Make sure that the stop (11) touches the lever (12).
(8) If clearance J2 is not in the tolerances, adjust as follows:
(a) Cut and discard the lockwire:
(b) Loosen the nuts (16).
(c) Release the lockwashers (17) at each rod end.
(d) Turn the barrel of the rod (13) to adjust clearance J2.
(e) Tighten the nuts (16) at each rod end.
(f) Make sure that the lockwashers (17) are in the correct position.
(g) Safety the nuts (16) and the lockwashers (17) with the14QDB1 Wire-Locking Dia: 0.5 mm (0.020 inch) CRES Nickel Alloy - .
Subtask 52-11-22-820-054-A (1) Make sure that the emergency control handle is in the DISARMED position.
(2) Put the inner control handle (10) in the door locked-down position.
(3) Make sure that the limit line between the red and green zones of the lever (12) is aligned with the upper edge of the indicator plate (15).
(4) If it is not aligned, adjust as follows:
(a) Loosen the stop (11).

(7) Make sure that the stop (11) touches the lever (12).
(8) If clearance J2 is not in the tolerances, adjust as follows:
(a) Cut and discard the lockwire:
WARNING:
USE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
1 Cut and discard the lockwire from the nuts (16) and the lockwashers (17). (b) Loosen the nuts (16).
(c) Release the lockwashers (17) at each rod end.
(d) Turn the barrel of the rod (13) to adjust clearance J2.
(e) Tighten the nuts (16) at each rod end.
(f) Make sure that the lockwashers (17) are in the correct position.
(g) Safety the nuts (16) and the lockwashers (17) with the
C. Check of the Triple Lever Rigging
(1) Put the emergency control handle in the ARMED position.
(2) Adjust the triple lever (40) with the 98DNSA20206060 RIGGING PIN or the 98DNSA20206120 RIGGING PIN.
(a) Remove the 98DNSA20206060 RIGGING PIN or the 98DNSA20206120 RIGGING PIN.
(b) Cut and discard the lockwire:
(c) Loosen the nuts (43).
(d) Release the lockwashers (42) at each rod end.
(e) Turn the barrel of the rod (41) until you can adjust the triple lever (43) with the 98DNSA20206060 RIGGING PIN or the 98DNSA20206120 RIGGING PIN.
(g) Make sure that the lockwashers (42) are in the correct position.
(h) Safety the nuts (43) and the lockwashers (42) with the14QDB1 Wire-Locking Dia: 0.5 mm (0.020 inch) CRES Nickel Alloy - .
Subtask 52-11-22-820-055-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put the emergency control handle in the ARMED position.
(2) Adjust the triple lever (40) with the 98DNSA20206060 RIGGING PIN or the 98DNSA20206120 RIGGING PIN.
NOTE: The 98DNSA20206120 RIGGING PIN is an alternative to the 98DNSA20206060 RIGGING PIN. But, because of its length, you cannot use the 98DNSA20206060 RIGGING PIN or the 98DNSA20206120 RIGGING PIN at all the locations.
(3) If you cannot get the rigging, adjust as follows: (a) Remove the 98DNSA20206060 RIGGING PIN or the 98DNSA20206120 RIGGING PIN.
(b) Cut and discard the lockwire:
WARNING:
USE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
1 Cut and discard the lockwire from the nuts (43) and the lockwashers (42). (c) Loosen the nuts (43).
(d) Release the lockwashers (42) at each rod end.
(e) Turn the barrel of the rod (41) until you can adjust the triple lever (43) with the 98DNSA20206060 RIGGING PIN or the 98DNSA20206120 RIGGING PIN.
NOTE: The 98DNSA20206120 RIGGING PIN is an alternative to the 98DNSA20206060 RIGGING PIN. But, because of its length, you cannot use the 98DNSA20206120 RIGGING PIN at all the locations.
(f) Tighten the nuts (43) at each rod end. (g) Make sure that the lockwashers (42) are in the correct position.
(h) Safety the nuts (43) and the lockwashers (42) with the
D. Adjustment of the Telescopic Rod
(1) Remove and discard the cotter pin (60).
(2) Remove the nut (59), the washers (58) and (56) and the bolt (57).
(3) Put the inner control handle and the outer control handle in the door locked-down position.
(4) Put the emergency control handle in the ARMED position.
(5) Adjust the emergency control handle with the 98DNSA20206060 RIGGING PIN or the 98DNSA20206120 RIGGING PIN.
(7) Measure dimension X1 when these steps are completed.
(8) If the length of the rod (52) in the maximum extended position is not equal to X1 + 0.1 +0.1 mm or -0.1 mm (0.0039 +0.0039 in. or -0.0039 in.), adjust it as follows:
(a) Remove the bellows (61).
(b) Cut and discard the lockwire:
(c) Safety the rod (52).
(d) Loosen the nut (54).
(e) Release the lockwasher (53).
(f) Turn the rod end (55) and adjust its length.
(g) Tighten the nut (54).
(h) Make sure that the lockwasher (53) is in the correct position.
(i) Safety the nut (54) and the lockwasher (53) with the14QDB1 Wire-Locking Dia: 0.5 mm (0.020 inch) CRES Nickel Alloy - .
(j) Install the bellows (61).
(9) Make sure that there is a clearance between the rod body and the rod (52).
(10) Put the rod (52) in position.
(11) Install the washers (56) and (58), the bolt (57) and the nut (59).
(12) TORQUE the nut (59) to between 0.35 and 0.3 m.daN (30.97 and 26.55 lbf.in )

(13) If you install a new bolt (57), drill a hole of 1.9 mm (0.0748 in.) for the installation of the cotter pin (60).
(14) Install the new AIPC 52-11-22-03-010 COTTER PIN (60).
Subtask 52-11-22-820-055-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove and discard the cotter pin (60).
(2) Remove the nut (59), the washers (58) and (56) and the bolt (57).
(3) Put the inner control handle and the outer control handle in the door locked-down position.
(4) Put the emergency control handle in the ARMED position.
(5) Adjust the emergency control handle with the 98DNSA20206060 RIGGING PIN or the 98DNSA20206120 RIGGING PIN.
NOTE: The 98DNSA20206120 RIGGING PIN is an alternative to the 98DNSA20206060 RIGGING PIN. But, because of its length, you cannot use the 98DNSA20206120 RIGGING PIN at all the locations.
(6) Make sure that the cam (51) touches the top of the roller (50). (7) Measure dimension X1 when these steps are completed.
(8) If the length of the rod (52) in the maximum extended position is not equal to X1 + 0.1 +0.1 mm or -0.1 mm (0.0039 +0.0039 in. or -0.0039 in.), adjust it as follows:
(a) Remove the bellows (61).
(b) Cut and discard the lockwire:
WARNING:
USE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
1 Cut and discard the lockwire from the nut (54) and the lockwasher (53). (c) Safety the rod (52).
(d) Loosen the nut (54).
(e) Release the lockwasher (53).
(f) Turn the rod end (55) and adjust its length.
(g) Tighten the nut (54).
(h) Make sure that the lockwasher (53) is in the correct position.
(i) Safety the nut (54) and the lockwasher (53) with the
(j) Install the bellows (61).
(9) Make sure that there is a clearance between the rod body and the rod (52).
(10) Put the rod (52) in position.
(11) Install the washers (56) and (58), the bolt (57) and the nut (59).
(12) TORQUE the nut (59) to between 0.35 and 0.3 m.daN (30.97 and 26.55 lbf.in )
. (13) If you install a new bolt (57), drill a hole of 1.9 mm (0.0748 in.) for the installation of the cotter pin (60).
(14) Install the new AIPC 52-11-22-03-010 COTTER PIN (60).
D. Adjustment of the Telescopic Rod
(1) Remove and discard the cotter pin (60).
(2) Remove the nut (59), the washers (58) and (56) and the bolt (57).
(3) Put the inner control handle and the outer control handle in the door locked-down position.
(4) Put the emergency control handle in the ARMED position.
(5) Adjust the emergency control handle with the 98DNSA20206060 RIGGING PIN or the 98DNSA20206120 RIGGING PIN.
(7) Measure dimension X1 when these steps are completed.
(8) If the length of the rod (52) in the maximum extended position is not equal to X1 + 0.1 +0.1 mm or -0.1 mm (0.0039 +0.0039 in. or -0.0039 in.), adjust it as follows:
(a) Remove the Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) (61) and the bellows (62).
(b) Cut and discard the lockwire:
(c) Safety the rod (52).
(d) Loosen the nut (54).
(e) Release the lockwasher (53).
(f) Turn the rod end (55) and adjust its length.
(g) Tighten the nut (54).
(h) Make sure that the lockwasher (53) is in the correct position.
(i) Safety the nut (54) and the lockwasher (53) with the14QDB1 Wire-Locking Dia: 0.5 mm (0.020 inch) CRES Nickel Alloy - .
(j) Install the bellows (62).
(k) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) (61) on the ends of the bellows (62).
(9) Make sure that there is a clearance between the rod body and the rod (52).
(10) Put the rod (52) in position.
(11) Install the washers (56) and (58), the bolt (57) and the nut (59).
(12) TORQUE the nut (59) to between 0.35 and 0.3 m.daN (30.97 and 26.55 lbf.in )

(13) If you install a new bolt (57), drill a hole of 1.9 mm (0.0748 in.) for the installation of the cotter pin (60).
(14) Install the new AIPC 52-11-22-03-010 COTTER PIN (60).
Subtask 52-11-22-820-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove and discard the cotter pin (60).
(2) Remove the nut (59), the washers (58) and (56) and the bolt (57).
(3) Put the inner control handle and the outer control handle in the door locked-down position.
(4) Put the emergency control handle in the ARMED position.
(5) Adjust the emergency control handle with the 98DNSA20206060 RIGGING PIN or the 98DNSA20206120 RIGGING PIN.
NOTE: The 98DNSA20206120 RIGGING PIN is an alternative to the 98DNSA20206060 RIGGING PIN. But, because of its length, you cannot use the 98DNSA20206120 RIGGING PIN at all the locations.
(6) Make sure that the cam (51) touches the top of the roller (50). (7) Measure dimension X1 when these steps are completed.
(8) If the length of the rod (52) in the maximum extended position is not equal to X1 + 0.1 +0.1 mm or -0.1 mm (0.0039 +0.0039 in. or -0.0039 in.), adjust it as follows:
(a) Remove the Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) (61) and the bellows (62).
(b) Cut and discard the lockwire:
WARNING:
USE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
1 Cut and discard the lockwire from the nut (54) and the lockwasher (53). (c) Safety the rod (52).
(d) Loosen the nut (54).
(e) Release the lockwasher (53).
(f) Turn the rod end (55) and adjust its length.
(g) Tighten the nut (54).
(h) Make sure that the lockwasher (53) is in the correct position.
(i) Safety the nut (54) and the lockwasher (53) with the
(j) Install the bellows (62).
(k) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) (61) on the ends of the bellows (62).
(9) Make sure that there is a clearance between the rod body and the rod (52).
(10) Put the rod (52) in position.
(11) Install the washers (56) and (58), the bolt (57) and the nut (59).
(12) TORQUE the nut (59) to between 0.35 and 0.3 m.daN (30.97 and 26.55 lbf.in )
. (13) If you install a new bolt (57), drill a hole of 1.9 mm (0.0748 in.) for the installation of the cotter pin (60).
(14) Install the new AIPC 52-11-22-03-010 COTTER PIN (60).
E. Adjustment of the Escape-Slide Girt-Bar Travel
(1) Put the outer and the inner control handles in the door locked-down position.
(2) Put the emergency control handle in the DISARMED position.
(3) Make sure that clearance J3 between the girt bar and the telescopic fork end is 0.8 +0 mm or +1.2 mm (0.0315 +0.0000 in. or +0.0472 in.).
(4) If clearance J3 is not in the tolerances, adjust as follows:
(a) Remove and discard the cotter pin (26).
(b) Remove the nut (27), the washers (25) and (24) and the bolt (23).
(c) Adjust the L position of the lower eye-end assembly (20) to get the correct clearance J3.
(d) Install the bolt (23), the washers (24) and (25) and the nut (27).
(e) TORQUE the nut (27) to between 0.35 and 0.3 m.daN (30.97 and 26.55 lbf.in )

(f) If you install a new bolt (23), drill a hole of 1.9 mm (0.0748 in.).
(g) Install the new AIPC 52-11-22-01-010 COTTER PIN (26) or the new AIPC 52-11-81-30-010 COTTER PIN (26).
(5) Put the emergency control handle in the ARMED position.
(6) Make sure that travel J4 is 31 -0.5 mm or +1 mm (1.2205 -0.0197 in. or +0.0394 in.).
(7) If travel J4 is not in the tolerances, adjust as follows:
(a) Remove and discard the cotter pin (34).
(b) Loosen the nut (33).
(c) Adjust the position of the serrated bellcrank (31) to get the correct value of radius R.
(d) Tighten the nut (33).
(e) If you install a new bolt (30), drill a hole of 2 mm (0.0787 in.).
(f) Install the new AIPC 52-11-22-04-350 COTTER PIN (34) or the new AIPC 52-11-81-33-350 COTTER PIN (34).
(8) Put the emergency control handle in the DISARMED position.
(9) Make sure that clearance J5 is 5 mm (0.1969 in.) minimum.

F. Adjustment of the Escape-Slide Release Mechanism
(1) Put the emergency control handle in the ARMED position with the 98DNSA20206060 RIGGING PIN or the 98DNSA20206120 RIGGING PIN.
(a) J6 is between 0.2 mm (0.0079 in.) and 0.8 mm (0.0315 in.).
(b) J7 is between 0.5 mm (0.0197 in.) and 1.0 mm (0.0394 in.).
(3) If the clearances are not in the tolerances, adjust as follows:
(a) Remove the sealant from around the girt bar fittings (81) and (83) and the head of the screws (80) and (82) with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(b) Loosen the screws (80) and (82).
(c) Identify the position of the girt-bar fitting serrations (81) and (83).
(d) Move the girt bar fittings (81) and (83) from the serrations on the X and Y axes to adjust clearances J6 and J7.
(e) Tighten the screws (80) and (82).
(f) Seal the girt bar fittings (81) and (83) and the head of the screws (80) and (82) with Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06AAC1) .
(4) Remove the 98DNSA20206060 RIGGING PIN or the 98DNSA20206120 RIGGING PIN and put the emergency control handle in the DISARMED position.
(5) Use the DYNAMOMETER 20 DAN (45 LBF) - PULL to operate the emergency control handle some times.
(6) Make sure that the load necessary to operate the handle is not more than 10 daN (22.4809 lbf).
Subtask 52-11-22-820-057-A (1) Put the emergency control handle in the ARMED position with the 98DNSA20206060 RIGGING PIN or the 98DNSA20206120 RIGGING PIN.

(b) J7 is between 0.5 mm (0.0197 in.) and 1.0 mm (0.0394 in.).
(3) If the clearances are not in the tolerances, adjust as follows:
(a) Remove the sealant from around the girt bar fittings (81) and (83) and the head of the screws (80) and (82) with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(b) Loosen the screws (80) and (82).
(c) Identify the position of the girt-bar fitting serrations (81) and (83).

(5) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
