A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) On panel 25VU make sure that the APU MASTER SW pushbutton switch is OFF.
(3) Make sure that there is a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.
(4) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(5) Make sure that the access platform is in position below the APU compartment.
(6) Make sure that the APU access doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
(7) Make sure that LIGHT control SW 11LJ is set to the ON position.

CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE DATA ARE ERASED FROM THE MEMORY OF THE REPLACEMENT DATA MEMORY MODULE. IF THE DATA STAY IN THE REPLACEMENT MODULE, THEY WILL ERASE THE LIFE DATA IN THE ECB FOR THE APU ON THE AIRCRAFT. THE ECB WILL THEN CALCULATE THE LIFE DATA OF A DIFFERENT APU.
A. Installation of the Data Memory Module NOTE: The removal of the module to use it on a different APU is not permitted. Replace with a new module or remove and install the same module.
(1) Replace or install again the data memory module: (a) If you replace the data memory module:
- Start the data memory module (Ref. AMM TASK 49-73-32-600-002) to make sure that the data memory module is erased.
- Start the data memory module (Ref. AMM TASK 49-73-32-600-002) to make sure that the APU serial number is correct.
(3) Install the washers (3) and the bolts (2).
(4) Remove the blanking cap from the electrical connector (1).
(5) Connect the electrical connector (1) to the data memory module (4).
B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Do the APU SYSTEM SELF-TEST to make sure that the Data Memory Module is serviceable
(1) Set the CFDS to get the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST page for the APU (Ref. AMM TASK 31-32-00-860-001).
(2) On overhead control and indicating panel 25VU, push the APU MASTER SW pushbutton switch (the ON legend comes on).
(3) Do this test:
