A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
   (2) On panel 25VU make sure that the APU MASTER SW pushbutton switch is OFF.
   (3) Make sure that there is a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.
   (4) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
   (5) Make sure that the access platform is in position below the APU compartment.
   (6) Make sure that the APU access doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
   (7) Make sure that LIGHT control SW 11LJ is set to the ON position.

4. Procedure
Subtask 49-73-32-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE DATA ARE ERASED FROM THE MEMORY OF THE REPLACEMENT DATA MEMORY MODULE. IF THE DATA STAY IN THE REPLACEMENT MODULE, THEY WILL ERASE THE LIFE DATA IN THE ECB FOR THE APU ON THE AIRCRAFT. THE ECB WILL THEN CALCULATE THE LIFE DATA OF A DIFFERENT APU.
A. Installation of the Data Memory Module
NOTE: The removal of the module to use it on a different APU is not permitted. Replace with a new module or remove and install the same module.
   (1) Replace or install again the data memory module:
     (a) If you replace the data memory module:
     (b) If you install the removed data memory module again:
   (2) Put the data memory module (4) in position on the APU.
   (3) Install the washers (3) and the bolts (2).
   (4) Remove the blanking cap from the electrical connector (1).
   (5) Connect the electrical connector (1) to the data memory module (4).

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Do the APU SYSTEM SELF-TEST to make sure that the Data Memory Module is serviceable
   (1) Set the CFDS to get the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST page for the APU (Ref. AMM TASK 31-32-00-860-001).
   (2) On overhead control and indicating panel 25VU, push the APU MASTER SW pushbutton switch (the ON legend comes on).
   (3) Do this test:

RESULT
1.On the MCDU:
  • Push the pushbutton adjacent to the SYSTEM SELF-TEST indication.
On the MCDU:
  • The APU SYSTEM SELF-TEST page shows and the message
    IN PROGRESS
    comes on.

  • If the test is satisfactory, the message
    TEST OK
    comes on.
    This indicates that all LRU's are serviceable.

  • If the test is not satisfactory, the name and the ATA reference number of the unserviceable LRU shows.
  • Push the pushbutton adjacent to the RETURN display.
  • The APU menu page comes on.
  • Push the pushbutton adjacent to the RETURN display.
  • The SYSTEM REPORT/TEST page comes on.
  • Push the pushbutton adjacent to the RETURN display.
  • The CFDS page comes on.
   (4) On overhead control and indicating panel 25VU, release the APU MASTER SW pushbutton switch (the ON legend goes off).

D. ECS Performance Adjustment
   (1) If necessary, you can change the performance adjustment to de-rate mode or original mode (Ref. AMM TASK 49-73-32-600-001).
5. Close-up

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Close APU access doors 315AL and 316AR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-001).
   (3) Remove the access platform(s).

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Put the related hydraulic system in the pressurized configuration (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
   (2) De-energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-862-001).
   (3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
