Subtask 49-51-51-860-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) On the overhead panel 25VU, make sure that the APU MASTER SW pushbutton switch is released (ON legend is off).
(3) On the APU section of overhead panel 25VU, make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the APU.
(4) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
Subtask 49-51-51-865-060-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) On the overhead panel 25VU, make sure that the APU MASTER SW pushbutton switch is released (ON legend is off).
(3) On the APU section of overhead panel 25VU, make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the APU.
(4) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized

B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

C. Get Access
(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE is in position below the APU compartment.
(3) Make sure that APU access doors 315AL and 316AR are open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
(4) Make sure that the light switch 11LJ is in the ON position.
4. ProcedureWARNING:
BEFORE YOU START WORK, YOU MUST PUT ON A SAFETY HARNESS AND ATTACH IT TO THE ACCESS PLATFORM. WITHOUT A SAFETY HARNESS, YOU CAN FALL. THIS CAN KILL YOU OR CAUSE YOU INJURY.
(1) Make sure that the 98L12003001000 HARNESS,SAFETY is put and attached before you start work in the work area.(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE is in position below the APU compartment.
(3) Make sure that APU access doors 315AL and 316AR are open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
(4) Make sure that the light switch 11LJ is in the ON position.
Subtask 49-51-51-420-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Load Control Valve
(1) Remove the blanking covers from the ducts.
(2) Position the AIPC 49-51-09-01-090 SEAL (5) or AIPC 49-51-84-30-090 SEAL (5) on valve (4).
(3) Hold the valve (4) in position and attach the clamp (6). Do not fully tighten the clamp at this time.
(5) Apply the TORQUE value shown in the clamp (6).
(6) TORQUE the clamp (2) to between 0.56 and 0.46 m.daN (49.56 and 40.71 lbf.in )

(7) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(8) Connect the electrical connector (3) to the valve (4).
Subtask 49-51-51-865-061-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove the blanking covers from the ducts.
(2) Position the AIPC 49-51-09-01-090 SEAL (5) or AIPC 49-51-84-30-090 SEAL (5) on valve (4).
(3) Hold the valve (4) in position and attach the clamp (6). Do not fully tighten the clamp at this time.
NOTE: Make sure that the arrow on the valve points in the same direction as the system air flow.
(4) Install the duct (1) to the valve (4) with the clamp (2). (5) Apply the TORQUE value shown in the clamp (6).
(6) TORQUE the clamp (2) to between 0.56 and 0.46 m.daN (49.56 and 40.71 lbf.in )
. (7) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(8) Connect the electrical connector (3) to the valve (4).
B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. BITE Test the APU Bleed Air System.
(1) Energize the CFDS to get the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST page for the APU (Ref. AMM TASK 31-32-00-860-001).
(2) Set the APU MASTER SW 14KD to ON.
(3) Do this Test.
Subtask 49-51-51-710-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Energize the CFDS to get the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST page for the APU (Ref. AMM TASK 31-32-00-860-001).
(2) Set the APU MASTER SW 14KD to ON.
(3) Do this Test.

D. Test the APU Bleed Air System.
(1) Start and operate the APU (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-008).
(2) On the AIR COND panel 30VU, make sure that the X-BLEED switch is in the AUTO position.
(3) Do these steps:
(4) Examine the bleed load control valve connections for leaks (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-790-006). There must be no air leakage. The position indicator on the valve must indicate closed.
(5) Shut-down the APU (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-009).
5. Close-up(1) Start and operate the APU (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-008).
(2) On the AIR COND panel 30VU, make sure that the X-BLEED switch is in the AUTO position.
(3) Do these steps:

(5) Shut-down the APU (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-009).
Subtask 49-51-51-410-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Set the light switch 11LJ to the OFF position.
(3) Close APU access doors 315AL and 316AR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-001).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
(5) Remove the safety harness.
Subtask 49-51-51-860-055-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Set the light switch 11LJ to the OFF position.
(3) Close APU access doors 315AL and 316AR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-001).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
(5) Remove the safety harness.

(1) Put the related hydraulic system in the pressurized configuration (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(2) De-energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-862-001).
(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(1) Put the related hydraulic system in the pressurized configuration (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(2) De-energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-862-001).
(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
