(2) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Apply a thin layer of Lubricant-Anti Seize High Temp. - (Material No.03PBB1) to the threads between the AIPC 49-41-09-01-050 IGNITER PLUG (3) or AIPC 49-41-84-30-050 THE IGNITER PLUG (3) and the combustor assembly.
(4) Remove all the blanking caps and put the new AIPC 49-41-09-01-060 GASKET (4) or AIPC 49-41-84-30-060 THE GASKET (4) in position on the igniter plug (3).
(5) Make sure that the flat side of the gasket (4) is installed on the igniter plug boss.
(6) Install the igniter plug (3) and the gasket (4).
(7) TORQUE the igniter plug (3) to between 2.66 and 2.42 m.daN (19.62 and 17.85 lbf.ft )

(8) Connect the ignition electrical lead (2) to the igniter plug (3).
(9) TORQUE the connection of the ignition electrical lead (2) to between 2.66 and 2.42 m.daN (19.62 and 17.85 lbf.ft )
.
(10) Connect the electrical connector (1).

MAKE SURE THAT THE IGNITION UNIT IS DE-ENERGIZED AND GROUNDED BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT THE INPUT AND OUTPUT LEADS. DO NOT TOUCH THE CONTACTS OF THE OUTPUT TERMINAL. THE OUTPUT VOLTAGE FROM THE IGNITION UNIT IS HIGH AND DOES NOT DECREASE IMMEDIATELY AFTER DE-ENERGIZATION (THE UNIT IS OF THE CAPACITOR DISCHARGE TYPE). HIGH VOLTAGE CAN KILL YOU.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) On overhead control and indicating panel 25VU, make sure that the APU MASTER SW pushbutton switch is in the OFF position.
(3) Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.
(4) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(5) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE is in position below the APU compartment.
(6) Make sure that the APU access doors 315AL and 316AR are open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
(7) Make sure that LIGHT control switch 11LJ is set to the ON position.
(8) Make sure that the low tension connector (1) is disconnected.

CAUTION:
ON THE TURBINE PLENUM, MAKE SURE THAT THE FLOATING RING CORRECTLY ALIGNS WITH THE IGNITER MOUNTING BOSS. IF THE POSITION OF THE FLOATING RING IS NOT CORRECT, USE A NON METALLIC TOOL TO ALIGN IT CORRECTLY BEFORE YOU INSTALL THE IGNITER PLUG. MAKE SURE THAT THE IGNITER PLUG DOES NOT TOUCH THE FLOATING RING DURING ITS INSTALLATION.
A. Installation of the Igniter Plug NOTE: There is only one igniter plug. It is installed in the combustor assembly at 220 degrees seen from the rear.
(1) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.(2) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Apply a thin layer of Lubricant-Anti Seize High Temp. - (Material No.03PBB1) to the threads between the AIPC 49-41-09-01-050 IGNITER PLUG (3) or AIPC 49-41-84-30-050 THE IGNITER PLUG (3) and the combustor assembly.
(4) Remove all the blanking caps and put the new AIPC 49-41-09-01-060 GASKET (4) or AIPC 49-41-84-30-060 THE GASKET (4) in position on the igniter plug (3).
(5) Make sure that the flat side of the gasket (4) is installed on the igniter plug boss.
(6) Install the igniter plug (3) and the gasket (4).
(7) TORQUE the igniter plug (3) to between 2.66 and 2.42 m.daN (19.62 and 17.85 lbf.ft )
. (8) Connect the ignition electrical lead (2) to the igniter plug (3).
(9) TORQUE the connection of the ignition electrical lead (2) to between 2.66 and 2.42 m.daN (19.62 and 17.85 lbf.ft )
. (10) Connect the electrical connector (1).
B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
