A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) On the panel 25VU, make sure that the APU MASTER SW p/bsw is OFF.
(3) Make sure that there is a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.
(4) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(6) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE is in position below the APU access doors 315AL, 316AR and the maintenance door 314AR.
(7) Make sure that access door 314AR is open and safetied in the open position.
(Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-23-010-801).
(8) Make sure that the APU access doors 315AL 316AR are open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-001) .
(9) Make sure that the LIGHT control switch 11LJ is set to the ON position.
Subtask 49-16-42-865-057-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) On the panel 25VU, make sure that the APU MASTER SW p/bsw is OFF.

WARNING:
BEFORE YOU START WORK, YOU MUST PUT ON A SAFETY HARNESS AND ATTACH IT TO THE ACCESS PLATFORM. WITHOUT A SAFETY HARNESS, YOU CAN FALL. THIS CAN KILL YOU OR CAUSE YOU INJURY.
(5) Put on and attach a safety harness before you start work in the work area(6) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE is in position below the APU access doors 315AL, 316AR and the maintenance door 314AR.
(7) Make sure that access door 314AR is open and safetied in the open position.
(Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-23-010-801).
(8) Make sure that the APU access doors 315AL 316AR are open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-001) .
(9) Make sure that the LIGHT control switch 11LJ is set to the ON position.
B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

A. Preparation for Installation
(1) Remove the remaining sealant with a wood or plastic scraper and clean the structure with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
(2) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) or Non Hardening Jointing Putty-High Temp. Area - Structure (Material No.06LDG2) to all junction components.
Subtask 49-16-42-910-052-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove the remaining sealant with a wood or plastic scraper and clean the structure with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
(2) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) or Non Hardening Jointing Putty-High Temp. Area - Structure (Material No.06LDG2) to all junction components.
A. Preparation for Installation

Subtask 49-16-42-420-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove the remaining sealant with a wood or plastic scraper and clean the structure with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
(2) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-High Temp. Area - Structure (Material No.06LDG2) to all junction components.
B. Installation of the Air Intake Duct
(1) Put the air intake duct (1) into position and hold it.
(2) Install the bolts (21) and (22) with the washers (20) and (23) and tighten the bolts (21) and (22).
(3) Install the top flange (17) and the bottom flange (18) around the air intake duct (1).
(4) Install the bolts (4) and the washers (3). Do not fully tighten the bolts at this time.
(5) Install the bolts (9), the washers (8) and the screws (19). Do not fully tighten the bolts at this time.
(6) Install the bolts (7), the washers (6) and the nuts (5). bolts.
(7) Tighten the screws (19) and the bolts (4), (9) and (7).
(8) Install the flange (15) with the screws (2) on the air intake duct (1) and tighten the screws (2).
(9) Apply Silicone Sealant-Firewall High Temp. - (Material No.06BHG1) around the gap between air intake duct (1) and flange (15).
(10) Install the flexible seal (14) on the flange (15) and install the distance washers (16) at the lower holes of the seal.
(11) Install the brackets (12) with the flanged edge to the outer side.
(12) Install the bolts (13), the washers (11) and the nuts (10). Tighten the bolts (13) equally.
(13) Seal the bonding connections with Silicone Sealant-Firewall High Temp. - (Material No.06BHG1) and then apply Varnish-- Electrical Bonding Structure (Material No.04TMB2) .
(14) Install the air intake nose (Ref. AMM TASK 49-16-44-400-003).
(15) Install the air intake flap (Ref. AMM TASK 49-16-43-400-003).
(16) Apply Corrosion Preventive Compound-- Soft Film System (Material No.12AGC2) around the screw heads at the inner side of the air intake duct.
Subtask 49-16-42-865-058-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put the air intake duct (1) into position and hold it.
(2) Install the bolts (21) and (22) with the washers (20) and (23) and tighten the bolts (21) and (22).
(3) Install the top flange (17) and the bottom flange (18) around the air intake duct (1).
(4) Install the bolts (4) and the washers (3). Do not fully tighten the bolts at this time.
(5) Install the bolts (9), the washers (8) and the screws (19). Do not fully tighten the bolts at this time.
(6) Install the bolts (7), the washers (6) and the nuts (5). bolts.
(7) Tighten the screws (19) and the bolts (4), (9) and (7).
(8) Install the flange (15) with the screws (2) on the air intake duct (1) and tighten the screws (2).
(9) Apply Silicone Sealant-Firewall High Temp. - (Material No.06BHG1) around the gap between air intake duct (1) and flange (15).
(10) Install the flexible seal (14) on the flange (15) and install the distance washers (16) at the lower holes of the seal.
(11) Install the brackets (12) with the flanged edge to the outer side.
(12) Install the bolts (13), the washers (11) and the nuts (10). Tighten the bolts (13) equally.
(13) Seal the bonding connections with Silicone Sealant-Firewall High Temp. - (Material No.06BHG1) and then apply Varnish-- Electrical Bonding Structure (Material No.04TMB2) .
(14) Install the air intake nose (Ref. AMM TASK 49-16-44-400-003).
(15) Install the air intake flap (Ref. AMM TASK 49-16-43-400-003).
(16) Apply Corrosion Preventive Compound-- Soft Film System (Material No.12AGC2) around the screw heads at the inner side of the air intake duct.
C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Set the LIGHT control switch 11LJ to the OFF position.
(3) Close access door 314AR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-23-410-801).
(4) Close the APU access doors 316AR 315AL (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-001).
(5) Remove the access platform(s).
Subtask 49-16-42-860-057-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Set the LIGHT control switch 11LJ to the OFF position.
(3) Close access door 314AR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-23-410-801).
(4) Close the APU access doors 316AR 315AL (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-001).
(5) Remove the access platform(s).
B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Put the related hydraulic system in the pressurized configuration (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(2) De-energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-862-001).
(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(1) Put the related hydraulic system in the pressurized configuration (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(2) De-energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-862-001).
(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
