APU Generator - ReplacementSubtask 49-11-00-860-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) On the panel 25VU make sure that the APU MASTER SW pushbutton switch is off.
(3) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(4) Put a CONTAINER 1 L (1/4 USGAL) below the cover assembly (3) to collect the oil which will flow when you remove the drain plug (5).
Subtask 49-11-00-865-062-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) On the panel 25VU make sure that the APU MASTER SW pushbutton switch is off.
(3) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(4) Put a CONTAINER 1 L (1/4 USGAL) below the cover assembly (3) to collect the oil which will flow when you remove the drain plug (5).
B. Open, safety and tag this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position below the APU compartment.
(2) Open the APU access doors 315AL 316AR.
(3) Open the APU exhaust access fairing 317.
(4) Set the LIGHT switch to the ON position.
4. Procedure(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position below the APU compartment.
(2) Open the APU access doors 315AL 316AR.
(3) Open the APU exhaust access fairing 317.
(4) Set the LIGHT switch to the ON position.
Subtask 49-11-00-020-059-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Generator Substitution Kit (APS 3200)
(1) Put a CONTAINER 1 L (1/4 USGAL) below the cover assembly (3) to collect the oil which will flow when you remove the drain plug (5).
(3) Remove the drain plug (5) from the cover assembly (3).
(4) Remove the electrical connector (7) and the electrical cable connections (9) from the generator cable support (6).
(5) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(6) Remove the nuts (4) from the cover assembly (3) and from the generator cable support (6).
(7) Remove the cover assembly (3) and the generator cable support (6) (Ref. AIPC 49-11-04-05-010) from the mounting flange (1).
(8) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(9) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(10) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
Subtask 49-11-00-420-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL 5. Close-up(1) Put a CONTAINER 1 L (1/4 USGAL) below the cover assembly (3) to collect the oil which will flow when you remove the drain plug (5).
WARNING:
DO NOT TOUCH THE APU UNTIL IT IS SUFFICIENTLY COOL TO PREVENT BURNS WHEN YOU DO THE MAINTENANCE TASK(S).
(2) Remove and discard the lockwire from the drain plug (5). (3) Remove the drain plug (5) from the cover assembly (3).
(4) Remove the electrical connector (7) and the electrical cable connections (9) from the generator cable support (6).
(5) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(6) Remove the nuts (4) from the cover assembly (3) and from the generator cable support (6).
(7) Remove the cover assembly (3) and the generator cable support (6) (Ref. AIPC 49-11-04-05-010) from the mounting flange (1).
(8) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(9) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(10) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
Subtask 49-11-00-410-059-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
(1) Set the LIGHT switch to the Off position.
(2) Close the APU access doors 315AL 316AR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-001).
(3) Close the APU exhaust access fairing 317.
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
Subtask 49-11-00-860-062-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Set the LIGHT switch to the Off position.
(2) Close the APU access doors 315AL 316AR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-001).
(3) Close the APU exhaust access fairing 317.
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
