A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
   (2) Make sure that the potable water system is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 38-10-00-614-002).
   (3) Make sure that the lavatory door is open.
   (4) Make sure that the access door to the potable-water shutoff valve is open.
   (5) Make sure that the potable-water shutoff valve is closed.
   (6) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to open the potable-water shutoff valve.

4. Procedure
Subtask 38-12-41-420-050-D ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Water Faucet
F Wash Basin Faucet ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
   (4) Put the hose assemblies (3) in position.
   (5) Put the filters (10) in the brackets (7) and (11) and tighten the nuts (8).
   (6) Connect the line connections (9) to the filters (10).
   (7) Put the hose assemblies (3) in position through the wash basin (4) and install the washers (6).
   (8) Disinfect new AIPC 38-12-41-05-140 O-RINGS (5) and the water faucet (1) with Disinfectant-Potable Water System - Legacy (Material No.11AKG9) .
NOTE: Spray disinfectant from a distance of approximately 10 cm maximum.
NOTE: The disinfectant must react with surfaces for 5 minutes minimum.
NOTE: The disinfected components should not be dried after the disinfection and should be installed in wet condition.
NOTE: As an alternative use disinfectants HERLISIL (966500), H Bio T50 (966400) or SANOSIL (966200). The concentration of H202 in these disinfectants must be decreased to 3%.
   (9) Install the O-rings (5) on the hose assemblies (3).
   (10) Carefully install the water faucet (1) on the hose assemblies (3).
   (11) Install the screw(s) (2) with an ALLEN KEY - DRIVER PNR ISO 2936-2.5.

A. Installation of the Water Faucet
F Wash Basin Faucet ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
   (4) Install the fittings (10) as follows:
     (a) Put the filters (9) in their installation positions into the fittings (10).
       1 If necessary, replace the filters (9) with the new AIPC 38-12-41-05-155 FILTER (9) or AIPC 38-12-41-05-165 FILTER (9) or AIPC 38-12-41-05-043 FILTER (9) or AIPC 38-12-41-05-053 FILTER (9):
  • When the filters (9) are worn.
  • When the filters (9) are damaged.
     (b) Connect the fittings (10) to the hose assemblies (4).
     (c) TORQUE the fittings (10) to between 123.9 and 88.5 lbf.in (1.40 and 1.00 m.daN )
T.
   (5) Put the hose assemblies (4) with the fittings (10) on the brackets (8) and (13).
   (6) Tighten the nuts (11).
   (7) Connect the connections (12) to the fittings (10).
   (8) Put the hose assemblies (4) in position through the wash basin (5).
   (9) Install the retaining washers (7).
   (10) Clean the new
AIPC 38-12-41-05-154 PACKING (6) or AIPC 38-12-41-05-164 PACKING (6) or AIPC 38-12-41-05-047 PACKING (6) or AIPC 38-12-41-05-057 PACKING (6) and the water faucet (1) with Disinfectant-Potable Water System - Legacy (Material No.11AKG9) :
NOTE: As an alternative, you can use disinfectants HERLISIL (966500), H Bio T50 (966400) or SANOSIL (966200). Airbus recommends to decrease the concentration of H202 in these disinfectants to 3%.
     (a) Spray disinfectants approximately from a maximum distance of 10 cm.
     (b) Disinfectants must stay on the surfaces for a minimum of five minutes.
     (c) Install the components on which you spray the disinfectants, in the wet condition before they dry.
   (11) Install the packings (6) on the hose assemblies (4).
   (12) Carefully install the water faucet (1) on the wash basin (5).
   (13) Install the screw(s) as follows:
     (a) In the lavatory:
  • Install the screws (2).
  • Use a ALLEN KEY - DRIVER PNR ISO 2936-2.5 to tighten the screws (2).
     (b) In the smart lavatory:
  • Install the screw (3).
  • TORQUE the screw (3) to between 46.91 and 41.59 lbf.in (0.53 and 0.47 m.daN ) T.
     (c) In the space flex lavatory:

C. Leak Test
   (1) If necessary, fill the potable water system (
Ref. AMM TASK 12-15-38-613-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 12-15-38-613-002).
   (2) If necessary, pressurize the potable water system (Ref. AMM TASK 38-10-00-614-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 38-10-00-614-003).
   (3) In the lavatory, turn the potable-water shutoff valve to the open position.
   (4) In the lavatory, operate the water faucet until water flows into the washbasin.
   (5) Examine the fittings and the water faucet for leaks.
NOTE: Leaks are not permitted.
   (6) If necessary, do the adjustment of the water-flow time of the water faucet (Ref. AMM TASK 38-12-00-820-001).
   (7) Depressurize the potable water system (Ref. AMM TASK 38-10-00-614-002).

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (3) Close the access door.
   (4) Close the lavatory door.

B. De-energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-862-001).
