CAUTION:
BE CAREFUL WITH THE SEMI-FLEXIBLE SENSE LINE. DEFORMATION OF THE RIGID PART OR LARGE DEFORMATION OF THE FLEXIBLE PART CAN QUICKLY CAUSE LEAKAGE.
CAUTION:
USE TWO WRENCHES DURING DISCONNECTION OF THE SENSE LINE, ONE TO MAINTAIN THE FIXED NUT AND THE SECOND ONE TO LOOSEN/TIGHTEN THE SENSE LINE COUPLING.
G. Removal of the Sense Line Remove the sense line between the bleed Pressure-Regulator Valve (PRV) and the pylon interface (Ref. AMM TASK 36-11-49-000-016).

A. Removal of the Bleed Pressure-Regulator Valve
(1) If you use the APU to energize the electrical circuits, stop the APU:
(a) Make sure that the pressure and the temperature of the bleed-air duct system are in ambient conditions.
Pre SB ENG 36-0007
(a) Disconnect the pressure sense line (3) from the valve.
End of Pre SB ENG 36-0007
Post SB ENG 36-0007
(b) Disconnect the pressure sense line (12) from the valve.
End of Post SB ENG 36-0007
(c) Disconnect the pressure sense line (8) from the valve.
(5) Remove the bleed pressure-regulator valve (1).
(a) Identify the position of the valve for the installation of the replacement valve.
(c) Remove the valve (1). Discard the seals (5) and (6).
(6) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(7) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
Post SB 70-0614
(8) Remove the heatshield assembly as follows.
(b) Loosen the hose clamps (10) and (11).
(c) Remove the upper heatshield assembly (9) from the bleed pressure-regulator valve (1).
(1) If you use the APU to energize the electrical circuits, stop the APU:
- For GTCP 36-300 APU (Ref. AMM D/O 49-00-00-86)
- For APS 3200 APU (Ref. AMM D/O 49-00-00-86)
- For 131-9(A) APU (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-009).
(a) Make sure that the pressure and the temperature of the bleed-air duct system are in ambient conditions.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE PNEUMATIC SYSTEM IS DEPRESSURIZED BEFORE YOU START WORK. PRESSURIZED AIR CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL.
WARNING:
DO NOT TOUCH THE UNIT UNTIL IT IS SUFFICIENTLY COOL TO PREVENT BURNS WHEN YOU DO THE MAINTENANCE TASK(S).
(3) Disconnect electrical connector (2) from the bleed pressure-regulator valve (1).
(4) Disconnect the pressure sense lines.
NOTE: This will help for the rigging of the bleed air ducts (Ref. AMM TASK 36-11-49-820-010).
(b) Remove the two couplings (4) and (7).
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(a) Remove the lockwire that safeties the hose clamps (10) and (11). (b) Loosen the hose clamps (10) and (11).
(c) Remove the upper heatshield assembly (9) from the bleed pressure-regulator valve (1).
