MAKE SURE THAT THE PNEUMATIC SYSTEM IS DEPRESSURIZED BEFORE YOU START WORK. PRESSURIZED AIR CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL.
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE ENGINE PARTS AFTER THE ENGINE SHUTDOWN. USE APPLICABLE THERMAL GLOVES. THE ENGINE PARTS CAN STAY HOT FOR ONE HOUR AFTER SHUTDOWN AND CAN BURN YOU.

B. Safety Precautions
(1) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred for not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(2) On AIR COND panel 30VU:

(2) On AIR COND panel 30VU:
- Make sure that the ENG 1(2) BLEED pushbutton switch is released (the OFF legend is on)
- Make sure that the APU BLEED pushbutton switch is released (the ON legend is off)
- Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the pneumatic system.
- Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to start the engine 1(2).
- Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the pneumatic system.
- Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR 1(2) pushbutton switch is off
- Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

E. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser (T/R) System
Subtask 36-11-49-010-324-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
(1) Make the T/R unserviceable for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-481-041). F. Get Access
(1) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)
(2) FOR [1000EM2] (ENGINE-2)
(3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M (3 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position in zone 450 for engine 1 and in zone 460 for engine 2.

(3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M (3 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position in zone 450 for engine 1 and in zone 460 for engine 2.

A. Removal of the Upper HP Duct Links
PRE SB RA32036-10
(1) If you use the APU to energize the electrical circuits, stop the APU:
(a) Make sure that the pressure and the temperature of the bleed-air duct system are in ambient conditions.
(4) Remove the nuts (10), washers (8), bolts (9) and bushings (7) that attach the links (2) and (3) to the brackets (6) and (12) on engine flange STA 233 and STA 239.

(5) Remove the nut (1), the washer (4) and the bolt (3) that attach the link (2) to the upper HP duct assembly.
(6) Remove the nut (9), washer (7), bolt (8) and bushing (6) that attach the link (2) to the bracket (5) on engine flange STA 239.

(1) If you use the APU to energize the electrical circuits, stop the APU:
- For GTCP 36-300 APU (Ref. AMM D/O 49-00-00-86)
- For APS 3200 APU (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-006)
- For 131-9(A) APU (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-009).
(a) Make sure that the pressure and the temperature of the bleed-air duct system are in ambient conditions.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE PNEUMATIC SYSTEM IS DEPRESSURIZED BEFORE YOU START WORK. PRESSURIZED AIR CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL.
WARNING:
DO NOT TOUCH THE UNIT UNTIL IT IS SUFFICIENTLY COOL TO PREVENT BURNS WHEN YOU DO THE MAINTENANCE TASK(S).
(3) Remove the nuts (1), the washers (4) and the bolts (5) that attach the links (2) and (3) to the upper HP duct assembly. (4) Remove the nuts (10), washers (8), bolts (9) and bushings (7) that attach the links (2) and (3) to the brackets (6) and (12) on engine flange STA 233 and STA 239.

(5) Remove the nut (1), the washer (4) and the bolt (3) that attach the link (2) to the upper HP duct assembly.
(6) Remove the nut (9), washer (7), bolt (8) and bushing (6) that attach the link (2) to the bracket (5) on engine flange STA 239.

B. Removal of the Mid Stage T-Duct Assembly Links
(1) Remove the nuts (1), bolts (3) and washers (2) from the links (5) and (4) that connect to the Mid Stage T-duct.
(2) Remove the nuts (6), bolts (10), washers (9) and bushings (8). Remove the links (5) and (4) from the brackets (7) and (12) on the engine flange STA. 215.
(1) Remove the nuts (1), bolts (3) and washers (2) from the links (5) and (4) that connect to the Mid Stage T-duct.
(2) Remove the nuts (6), bolts (10), washers (9) and bushings (8). Remove the links (5) and (4) from the brackets (7) and (12) on the engine flange STA. 215.
