Removal of the Sense Lines of the Bleed Regulated Pressure-Transducer and the Bleed Transferred Pressure-Transducer

B. Safety Precautions
(1) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(2) On AIR COND panel 30VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG 1(2) BLEED pushbutton switch is released (OFF legend on).
(b) Make sure that the APU BLEED pushbutton switch is released (ON legend off).
(c) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the pneumatic system.
(3) Do the procedure to prevent engine motoring
(Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-860-833).
(4) On access door 191DB, on the HP ground connector:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the pneumatic system.

WARNING: YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.

(1) Do the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for ground maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805).

4. Procedure
Subtask 36-11-49-020-152-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Removal of the Sense Line of the Bleed Transferred Pressure-Transducer
(1) If you use the APU to energize the electrical circuits, stop the APU:

For GTCP 36-300 APU (Ref. AMM D/O 49-00-00-86)
For APS 3200 APU (Ref. AMM D/O 49-00-00-86)
For 131-9(A) APU (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-009).

(2) In the cockpit, on the SD bleed page:
(a) Make sure that the pressure and the temperature of the bleed-air duct system are in ambient conditions.

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE PNEUMATIC SYSTEM IS DEPRESSURIZED BEFORE YOU START WORK. PRESSURIZED AIR CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL.

WARNING: DO NOT TOUCH THE UNIT UNTIL IT IS SUFFICIENTLY COOL TO PREVENT BURNS WHEN YOU DO THE MAINTENANCE TASK(S).

CAUTION: USE A SECOND WRENCH TO APPLY COUNTERTORQUE TO THE UNION WHEN YOU DISCONNECT/CONNECT THE PNEUMATIC LINES ON UNIONS.

(3) Loosen the union nut (3) of the sense line (1).
(4) Loosen the union nut (18) of the HPV pylon sense-hose (16).
(5) Disconnect the HPV pylon sense-hose (16) from the sense line (1).
(6) Remove the two bolts (14) and the washers (12) from the pylon interface (11).
(7) If not removed, remove the three clamps (9) as follows:
(a) Remove the six bolts (7) and washers (8) from the three clamps (9).
(b) Remove the first parts of the three clamps (9) from the second parts of the three clamps (9) and the sense line (1).
(c) Make sure that the second parts of the three clamps (9) stay on the supports (10).
(8) Disconnect the sense line (1) from the bleed transferred pressure-transducer (4) and the pylon interface (11).
(9) Remove the sense line (1) from the pylon.
(10) Put PLUG - BLANKING on the port of the bleed transferred pressure-transducer (4) and the HPV pylon sense-hose (16).
(11) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.

Subtask 36-11-49-020-154-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

B. Removal of the Sense Line of the Bleed Regulated Pressure-Transducer

CAUTION: USE A SECOND WRENCH TO APPLY COUNTERTORQUE TO THE UNION WHEN YOU DISCONNECT/CONNECT THE PNEUMATIC LINES ON UNIONS.

(1) Loosen the union nut (6) of the sense line (2).
(2) Loosen the union nut (19) of the PRV pylon sense-hose (17).
(3) Disconnect the PRV pylon sense-hose (17) from the sense line (2).
(4) Remove the two bolts (15) and washers (13) from the pylon interface (11).
(5) Remove the three clamps (9), if not already removed.
(a) Remove the six bolts (7) and washers (8) from the three clamps (9).
(b) Remove the first parts of the three clamps (9) from the second parts of the three clamps (9) and the sense line (2).
(c) Make sure that the second parts of the three clamps (9) stay on the supports (10).
(6) Disconnect the sense line (2) from the bleed regulated pressure-transducer (5) and the pylon interface (11).
(7) Remove the sense line (2) from the pylon.
(8) Put PLUG - BLANKING on the port of the bleed transferred pressure-transducer (5) and the PRV pylon sense-hose (17).
(9) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
