   (1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
   (2) On AIR COND overhead-panel 30VU, put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the pneumatic systems.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE FLIGHT CONTROLS SURFACES ARE CLEAR. MOVEMENT OF FLIGHT CONTROLS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
   (1) Fully extend the slats (Ref. AMM TASK 27-80-00-866-004).
   (2) On center pedestal panel 114VU:
     (a) Install the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION in position on the flap/slat control lever (Ref. AMM TASK 27-00-00-480-002).
     (b) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the flap/slat controls.

Subtask 36-11-48-020-091-A
A. Removal of the Bleed Air Ducts between the Fuselage and Slat Track 1
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
   (1) Cut, remove and discard the Wire-- Stainless Steel Braided - (Material No.14QAD1) from the insulation muffs (2) and (7).
   (2) Remove the insulation muffs (2) and (7).
   (3) Remove the clamps (4) and (6).
   (4) Remove the bleed air duct (5) from the aircraft.
   (5) Remove the nut (12), insulation washer (13), facing washer (11) and the bolt (14).
   (6) Remove the insulation washer (9) and the facing washer (8) from the bolt (14).
   (7) Disconnect the link assembly (10) from the bleed air duct (1).
   (8) Remove the clamp (3).
   (9) Remove the bleed air duct (1) from the aircraft.
   (10) Install a PLUG - BLANKING on the bleed air duct in the fuselage.

B. Removal of the Bleed Air Ducts between Slat Track 1 and the Intermediate Rib
   (1) Remove the duct assembly (60) before you remove the bleed air ducts between slat track 1 and the intermediate rib.
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
   (2) Cut, remove and discard the Wire-- Stainless Steel Braided - (Material No.14QAD1) from the insulation muffs (22), (36) and (42).
   (3) Remove the insulation muffs (22), (36) and (42).
   (4) Remove the nut (23), the washer (24) and the screw (17). Disconnect the bonding leads (25) and (18) from the duct assembly (16).
   (5) Remove the nut (33), the washer (34) and the screw (26). Disconnect the bonding lead (25) from the duct assembly (28).
   (6) Remove the nut (30), the washer (31) and the screw (29). Disconnect the bonding lead (32) from the duct assembly (28).
   (7) Remove the nut (53), the washer (54) and the screw (38). Disconnect the bonding lead (32) from the connector assembly (40).
   (8) Remove the nut (52), the washer (51) and the screw (39). Disconnect the bonding lead (47) from the connector assembly (40).
   (9) Remove the nut (45), the washer (46) and the screw (43). Disconnect the bonding leads (44) and (47).
   (10) Remove the bolts (48), the facing washers (49) and the insulation washers (50).
   (11) Remove the connector assembly (40).
   (12) Remove and discard the two piece seals (37) and (41) from the connector assembly (40).
   (13) Remove the nuts (57) and the bolts (55).
   (14) Remove the rib assembly (56).
   (15) Carefully remove the duct assembly (28) and the tube assembly (27) from the aircraft.
   (16) Remove and discard the two piece seal (35) from the duct assembly (28).
   (17) Remove the bolts (21), the facing washers (20) and the insulation washers (19).
   (18) Remove the duct assembly (16) and the tube assembly (15) from the aircraft.

C. Removal of the Bleed Air Ducts between the Intermediate Rib and the Closing Rib
   (1) Remove the bleed air ducts between slat track 1 to the intermediate rib before you remove the bleed air duct (64).
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
   (2) Cut, remove and discard the Wire-- Stainless Steel Braided - (Material No.14QAD1) from the insulation muffs (62) and (71).
   (3) Remove the insulation muffs (62) and (71).
   (4) Remove the clamps (58) and (61).
   (5) Remove the duct assembly (60) and the sleeve assembly (59) from the aircraft.
   (6) Remove the nut (68), the washer (67) and the screw (66). Disconnect the bonding lead (69) from the duct assembly (64).
   (7) Remove the nut (73), the washer (74) and the screw (72). Disconnect the bonding leads (69) and (75) from the duct assembly (84).
   (8) Carefully move the duct assembly (64) through the tube assemblies (65) and (63) and remove the duct assembly (64) from the aircraft.
   (9) Remove and discard the two piece seal (70) from the duct assembly (64).
Subtask 36-11-48-020-094-A
D. Removal of the Bleed Air Ducts between the Closing Rib and the Pylon
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
   (1) Cut, remove and discard the Wire-- Stainless Steel Braided - (Material No.14QAD1) from the insulation muffs (88) and (98).
   (2) Remove the insulation muffs (88) and (98).
   (3) Remove the temperature sensor (103) from the bleed air duct (89) (Ref. AMM TASK 36-11-17-000-001).
   (4) For the right wing only, do these steps:
     (a) If necessary, disconnect the Integrated Drive Generator (IDG) cables for better access to the bleed air duct (Ref. AMM TASK 24-92-00-000-804).
     (b) Remove the nuts (115) and the bolts (110).
     (c) Remove the nuts (116), the washers (117) and the bolts (109).
     (d) Remove the nuts (114) and the bolts (112).
     (e) Carefully put the cable carrier (111) in position to allow access for removal of the bracket (113).
     (f) Remove the bracket (113).
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL A COTTER PIN. EACH TIME YOU REMOVE A COTTER PIN DURING THE TASK, DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. A LOOSE COTTER PIN CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND.
   (5) Remove and discard the cotter pins (105).
   (6) Remove the nuts (106), the washers (107) and the bolts (108).
   (7) Disconnect the structural rods (90), (91) and (92).
   (8) Remove the clamps (87), (104) and (102).
   (9) Carefully remove the duct assembly (89) from the aircraft.
   (10) Remove the nuts (86), the washers (85) and (77) and the bolts (76).
   (11) Remove the cable support bracket (78).
   (12) Remove the nuts (79), bolts (83), facing washers (82) and the insulation washers (81).
   (13) Carefully remove the duct assembly (84) and the insulation gasket (80).
   (14) Install a PLUG - BLANKING on the pre cooler duct.
   (15) Remove the nut (101), the washer (100) and the screw (93).
   (16) Remove the bonding lead (99) from the duct assembly (94).
   (17) Remove the duct assembly (94) from the aircraft.
   (18) Remove the flexible connector (96) from the duct assembly (123).
   (19) Remove and discard the seals (95) and (97).

E. Removal of the Bleed Air Ducts between the Pylon and the Anti Ice Valve
   (1) Remove the anti ice valve from the duct assembly (130) (Ref. AMM TASK 30-11-51-000-001).
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
   (2) Cut, remove and discard the Wire-- Stainless Steel Braided - (Material No.14QAD1) from the insulation muff (128).
   (3) Remove the insulation muff (128).
   (4) Remove the nut (122), the washer (121) and the bolt (118).
   (5) Remove the bonding leads (120) and (119) from the duct assembly (123).
   (6) Remove the nuts (135), the washers (136) and the bolts (137) from the link assemblies.
   (7) Remove the nuts (134), the washers (133) and (132) and the screws (131).
   (8) Remove the half clamps (138) and (139) and the link assemblies.
   (9) Loosen the vapor seal (129) from the duct assembly (130).
   (10) Remove the clamp (127).
   (11) Carefully remove the duct assembly (130) from the aircraft.
   (12) Remove the bolts (126) the washers (125) and the insulation gasket (124).
   (13) Remove the duct assembly (123) from the aircraft.
