A. Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002) or (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).

B. Safety Precautions
(2) Make sure that on AIR COND panel 30VU, the ENG pushbutton switches are released (the OFF legends are on).
(3) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position in the cockpit to tell persons not to:

MAKE SURE THAT THE PNEUMATIC SYSTEM IS DEPRESSURIZED BEFORE YOU START WORK. PRESSURIZED AIR CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL.
(1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.(2) Make sure that on AIR COND panel 30VU, the ENG pushbutton switches are released (the OFF legends are on).
(3) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position in the cockpit to tell persons not to:
- Operate the engines
- Operate the slats
- Operate the APU switch
- Operate the pneumatic system.

D. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the applicable access panel 471AL or 482AR.
(2) Remove the applicable access panel(s):
(a) FOR [6HA1] (SENSOR-EXCHANGER OUT TEMP, ENG 1)
remove 471AL.
(b) FOR [6HA2] (SENSOR-EXCHANGER OUT TEMP, ENG 2)
remove 482AR.
Subtask 36-11-17-010-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the applicable access panel 471AL or 482AR.
(2) Remove the applicable access panel(s):
(a) FOR [6HA1] (SENSOR-EXCHANGER OUT TEMP, ENG 1)
remove 471AL.
(b) FOR [6HA2] (SENSOR-EXCHANGER OUT TEMP, ENG 2)
remove 482AR.
D. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the applicable access panel 471BL or 481BR.
(2) Remove the applicable access panel(s):
(a) FOR [6HA1] (SENSOR-EXCHANGER OUT TEMP, ENG 1)
(b) FOR [6HA2] (SENSOR-EXCHANGER OUT TEMP, ENG 2)
4. Procedure(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the applicable access panel 471BL or 481BR.
(2) Remove the applicable access panel(s):
(a) FOR [6HA1] (SENSOR-EXCHANGER OUT TEMP, ENG 1)
(b) FOR [6HA2] (SENSOR-EXCHANGER OUT TEMP, ENG 2)

A. Removal of the Heat-Exchanger Outlet-Temperature Sensor
(1) If you use the APU to energize the electrical circuits, stop the APU:
(a) Make sure that the pressure and the temperature of the bleed-air duct system are in ambient conditions.
(4) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(6) Remove and discard the O-ring (3).
(7) Install the CAP - BLANKING on the temperature sensor (2) and the sensor location on the bleed air-duct.
Subtask 36-11-17-020-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) If you use the APU to energize the electrical circuits, stop the APU:
- For GTCP 36-300 APU (Ref. AMM D/O 49-00-00-86)
- For APS 3200 APU (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-006)
- For 131-9(A) APU (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-009).
(a) Make sure that the pressure and the temperature of the bleed-air duct system are in ambient conditions.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE PNEUMATIC SYSTEM IS DEPRESSURIZED BEFORE YOU START WORK. PRESSURIZED AIR CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL.
WARNING:
DO NOT TOUCH THE UNIT UNTIL IT IS SUFFICIENTLY COOL TO PREVENT BURNS WHEN YOU DO THE MAINTENANCE TASK(S).
(3) Disconnect the electrical connector (1). (4) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(5) Remove and discard the lockwire from the temperature sensor (2) and remove the temperature sensor. (6) Remove and discard the O-ring (3).
(7) Install the CAP - BLANKING on the temperature sensor (2) and the sensor location on the bleed air-duct.
A. Removal of the Heat-Exchanger Outlet-Temperature Sensor
(1) If you use the APU to energize the electrical circuits, stop the APU:
(a) Make sure that the pressure and the temperature of the bleed-air duct system are in ambient conditions.
(4) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(6) Remove the screws (2).
(7) Remove the temperature sensor (1).
(8) Remove and discard the O-ring (5).
(9) Install the CAP - BLANKING on the temperature sensor (1) and the sensor location on the bleed air-duct.
(1) If you use the APU to energize the electrical circuits, stop the APU:
- For GTCP 36-300 APU (Ref. AMM D/O 49-00-00-86)
- For APS 3200 APU (Ref. AMM D/O 49-00-00-86)
- For 131-9(A) APU (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-009).

(3) Disconnect the electrical connectors (3) and (4). (4) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(5) Remove and discard the lockwire from the screws (2). (6) Remove the screws (2).
(7) Remove the temperature sensor (1).
(8) Remove and discard the O-ring (5).
(9) Install the CAP - BLANKING on the temperature sensor (1) and the sensor location on the bleed air-duct.
