Functional Test of the tachometers with the AIDS.

TASK 32-42-00-720-003-A
Functional Test of the tachometers with the AIDS.

WARNING: PUT THE SAFETY DEVICES AND THE WARNING NOTICES IN POSITION BEFORE YOU START A TASK ON OR NEAR:
  • THE FLIGHT CONTROLS
  • THE FLIGHT CONTROL SURFACES
  • THE LANDING GEAR AND THE RELATED DOORS
  • COMPONENTS THAT MOVE.
MOVEMENT OF COMPONENTS CAN KILL OR CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT.
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.
1. Reason for the Job
To do a check for correct operation of a tachometer after replacement. This task is applicable when you replace only one tachometer on each landing gear. If you replace two tachometers on the same landing gear, refer to the functional test of the tachometers and the anti-skid system with the normal braking system on (Ref. AMM TASK 32-42-00-720-00200).

A. Test of the Tachometers.
   (1) Get access to the parameter call-up menus (Ref. AMM TASK 31-36-00-740-008).
ACTION
RESULT
1.With the MCDU keyboard, enter the wheel-speed parameter-label call-up with the alphanumeric keys in the format:
EQ/SYS/LAB/SDI

NOTE: For the parameter label, the equipment number (EQ) format can be entered with 2 digits (6E) or 3 digits (06E) depending on FDIMU or DMU configuration.
6E/1/320/01 for wheel 1 speed system 1
6E/2/320/10 for wheel 1 speed system 2

6E/1/321/01 for wheel 2 speed system 1
6E/2/321/10 for wheel 2 speed system 2

6E/1/322/01 for wheel 3 speed system 1
6E/2/322/10 for wheel 3 speed system 2

6E/1/323/01 for wheel 4 speed system 1
6E/2/323/10 for wheel 4 speed system 2
The speed value is 00000000 in the DATA BITS Column

NOTE: The tachometer speed value is shown on bits 28 thru 21 in the DATA BITS column.
  • Manually turn the tachometer
The related tachometer speed value in the DATA BITS column changes from 00000000 to a different value.
