3. Job Set-up
Subtask 32-21-43-941-056-A
A. Safety Precautions
   (1) Make sure that the safety device are installed on the landing gears (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
   (2) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position:
  • on the panel 400VU, to tell persons not to operate the landing gear control lever,
  • on the NWS hand/wheels and the rudder pedals to tell persons not to operate them.

B. Get Access
   (1) Open the NLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-010-001).
   (2) Make sure that the safety devices are correctly installed on the landing gear doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-002).
   (3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position adjacent to the NLG.

C. Flight Configuration Precautions
   (1) If the electrical power is not necessary for other maintenance tasks, make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are de-energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002). Then, it is not necessary to operate the circuit breakers below.

E. Flight Configuration Precautions
   (1) If the electrical power is necessary for other maintenance tasks, do the precautions for flight configuration (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-860-001) after you have opened the circuit breakers.
4. Procedure

A. Removal of the Upper Harness 2M
WARNING: FOR SAFETY STAND AFT OF THE GEAR LEG WHEN YOU OPERATE THE GROUND OPENING CONTROL OF THE DOOR. CAREFULLY READ THE PLACARD ON THE LEG DOOR BEFORE YOU OPEN THE NOSE GEAR DOORS.
   (1) Put a CAP - BLANKING on the electrical connectors as you disconnect them.
   (2) Disconnect the electrical connector 25GAA (18) from the NLG proximity sensor 25GA (19).
   (3) Remove the screw (17), washer (16) and clamp (15) from the bracket (20).
   (4) Cut, remove and discard the braid (14) from the grommet (13).
   (5) Disconnect the electrical connector 5GCA (11) from the electrical box 5GC (12).
   (6) Disconnect the electrical connector 3LC2A (8) from the right runway-turnoff-light 3LC2 (9).
   (7) Remove the screw (1), washer (2) and clamp (3) from the bracket (5).
   (8) Remove the screw (7), washer (6) and clamp (4) from the bracket (5).
   (9) Cut, remove and discard the braid (25) from the grommet (26).
   (10) Remove the screw (23), washer (22) and clamp (21) from the bracket (24).
   (11) Disconnect the electrical connector 4GCA (28) from the nose-wheel steering feed-back sensor 4GC (27).
   (12) Fold back the heat-shrink sleeve (58) until you can disconnect the electrical connector 6GCA (56).
   (13) Disconnect the electrical connector 6GCA (56) from the nose-wheel steering servo-control 6GC (57).
   (14) Remove the screw (41), washer (42) and clamp (43) from the bracket (45).
   (15) Remove the screw (47), washer (46) and clamp (48) from the bracket (45).
   (16) Disconnect the electrical connector 19GAA (39) from the proximity sensor 19GA installed on the bracket (40).
   (17) Remove the screw (36), washer (35) and clamp (34) from the bracket (37).
   (18) Remove the screw (32), washer (31), clamp (33) and spacer (38) from the bracket (37).
   (19) Disconnect the electrical connector 8LRA (30) from the taxi light 8LR (29).
   (20) Remove the nuts (50), washers (51), screws (54) and washers (53) to release the clamp (52) from the bracket (49).
   (21) Disconnect the electrical connector 1302VCA (55) from the receptacle 1302VC of the housing installed on the aircraft structure.
   (22) Remove the upper harness 2M (44).
