3. Job Set-up
Subtask 32-21-43-941-060-A
A. Safety Precautions
   (1) Make sure that the safety device are installed on the landing gears (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
   (2) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position:
  • On panel 400VU, to tell persons not to operate the landing gear control-lever,
  • On the Nose Wheel Steering (N/WS) handwheels and the rudder pedals, to tell persons not to operate them.

B. Get Access
   (1) Open the NLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-010-001).
   (2) Make sure that the safety devices are correctly installed on the landing gear doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-002).
   (3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position adjacent to the NLG.

C. Flight Configuration Precautions
   (1) If the electrical power is not necessary for other maintenance tasks, make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are de-energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002). Then, it is not necessary to operate the circuit breakers below.

   (1) If the electrical power is necessary for other maintenance tasks, obey the precautions for flight configuration (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-860-001) after you open the circuit breakers.
4. Procedure
Subtask 32-21-43-020-056-A
A. Removal of Upper Harness 2M
WARNING: FOR SAFETY STAND AFT OF THE GEAR LEG WHEN YOU OPERATE THE GROUND OPENING CONTROL OF THE DOOR. CAREFULLY READ THE PLACARD ON THE LEG DOOR BEFORE YOU OPEN THE NOSE GEAR DOORS.
   (1) Put a CAP - BLANKING on the electrical connectors when you disconnect them.
   (2) Disconnect the electrical connector (25GAA) (63) from system 2 NLG external-proximity-sensor (25GA) (62).
   (3) Remove the screw (80), washer (81) and clamp (82) from the bracket (83).
   (4) Disconnect electrical connector (5GCA) (61) from deactivation nose-wheel-steering electrical-box (5GC) (60).
   (5) Disconnect electrical connector (3LC2A) (56) from the right runway-turnoff-light (3LC2) (57).
   (6) Remove the screws (70), washers (71) and transition box (75) from the bracket (77).
   (7) Remove the screw (72), washer (73), nut (74) and clamp (76) from the bracket (77).
   (8) Remove the screw (42), washer (41), nut (44) and clamp (40) from the bracket (43).
   (9) Disconnect electrical connector (4GCA) (55) from monitoring-channel nose-wheel-steering feedback-sensor (4GC) (54).
   (10) Disconnect the electrical connector (6GCA) (67) from the nose-wheel-steering servo control (6GC) (64).
   (11) Remove the screw (34), washer (33) and clamps (31) and (32) from the bracket (30).
   (12) Remove the screw (21), washer (22) and clamp (23) from the bracket (24).
   (13) Remove the screws (29), washers (27), nuts (26) and transition box (28) from the bracket (25).
   (14) Disconnect the electrical connector (19GAA) (95) from system 2 NLG downlock-proximity-sensor (19GA) (96).
   (15) Remove the screw (90), nut (94), washer (93) and clamps (91) and (92) from the bracket (97).
   (16) Remove the screw (12), washer (13) and clamp (11) from the bracket (17).
   (17) Remove the screw (20), nut (14), washer (15), clamps (16) and (19), and spacer (18) from the bracket (17).
   (18) Disconnect electrical connector (8LRA) (52) from taxi light (8LR) (53).
   (19) Remove the nuts (5), washers (6), screws (9) and washers (8) to release the clamp (7) from the bracket (10).
   (20) Remove the screw (2), washer (3) and clamp (4) from the bracket (10).
   (21) Disconnect electrical connector (1302VCA) (1) from receptacle (1302VC) of the housing installed on the aircraft structure.
   (22) Remove upper harness 2M (98).
