OPERATIONAL CHECK OF CORRECT OPERATION OF PFD-ND AND ECAM-ND MANUAL TRANSFER
To test the switching devices of the DMC to DU's links. This is an alternative test to the PFD/ND, ECAM/ND manual switching test and the EFIS/ECAM DMC switching test.

A. SWITCHING test of the DMC 1

ACTION	RESULT
1.On the MCDU:
push the line key adjacent to the EIS 1 indication	the DMC 1 main menu page comes into view. The green MAINTENANCE MODE message comes into view on the CAPT PFD, ND, SD and EWD.
push the line key adjacent to the SWTG/BUS/DU TESTS indication	the DMC 1 SWITCHING/DATA BUS AND DU BRIGHTNESS TESTS page comes into view
push the line key adjacent to the SWITCHING TEST indication	the page DMC 1 SWITCHING TEST comes into view
obey the instructions refered to as : INITIAL CONDITIONS on the MCDU and press the line key adjacent to START TEST	the next page DMC1 SWITCHING TEST comes into view
obey the instructions refered to as: MAKE SURE THAT THESE MAGENTA COLOUR MESSAGES...	magenta messages come into view on the CAPT PFD, ND, SD and EWD DUs as shown on the MCDU page.

5. Close-up
Subtask 31-60-00-860-070-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1) On the MCDU, push the line key adjacent to the RETURN indication until the MAINTENANCE MENU 1/2 page comes into view
(2) Do the EIS Stop Procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002)
(3) On the MCDU, set the BRT knob to OFF
(4) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002)
(5) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
