A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002)
   (2) Do the EIS start procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001)
   (3) On one MCDU, get the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST INST menu page (Ref. AMM TASK 31-32-00-860-008)

Subtask 31-60-00-740-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. DMC1 or DMC2 Test
NOTE: This test is for the DMC1. For the DMC2 use the indications between parentheses.
ACTION
RESULT
1.On the MCDU:
On the MCDU:
2.Push the line key adjacent to the EIS1 (2) indication.
  • the EIS DMC1 (2) page comes into view.
    On the EFIS/ECAM display units:
  • make sure that the CAPT (F/O) PFD and ND and the upper (lower) ECAM DU operate in the maintenance mode (MAINTENANCE MODE comes into view on these three display units).
3.Push the line key adjacent to the TEST indication.
On the MCDU:
  • the EIS DMC1 (2) TEST page comes into view.
4.Push the line key adjacent to the SYSTEM TEST indication.
  • the EIS DMC1 (2) SYSTEM TEST page comes into view.
5.Push the line key adjacent to the RETURN indication.
  • the subsequent EIS DMC1 (2) SYSTEM TEST page comes into view.
6.Push the line key adjacent to the START TEST indication.
  • In the scratchpad the NO RESPONSE-PRESS RETURN indication comes into view.
7.Push the line key adjacent to the RETURN indication
  • the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST INST page comes into view.
    On the display units:
  • the CAPT (F/O) PFD and ND and the upper (lower) ECAM DU go back to the normal mode.
8.Push the line key adjacent to the EIS1 (2) indication.
On the MCDU:
  • the EIS DMC1 (2) page comes into view.
    On the display units:
  • make sure that the CAPT (F/O) PFD and ND and the upper (lower) ECAM DU operate in the maintenance mode.
9.Push the line key adjacent to the TEST indication.
On the MCDU:
  • the EIS DMC1 (2) TEST page comes into view.
10.Push the line key adjacent to the SYSTEM TEST RESULT indication.
  • the TEST OK indication comes into view.
11.On the MCDU, push the line key adjacent to the RETURN indication until the CFDS MENU page comes into view.
On the display units:
  • the CAPT (F/O) PFD and ND and the upper (lower) ECAM DU go back to the normal mode.

Subtask 31-60-00-740-051-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. System test of the DMC
NOTE: This test is for the DMC1. For DMC2 and the DMC3, use the indications between the parentheses.
ACTION
RESULT
On the MCDU:
  • push the line key adjacent to the EIS 1 (EIS 2), (EIS 3) indication
- the DMC1 (DMC2, DMC3) main menu page comes into view. A green message MAINTENANCE MODE comes into view on the CAPT PFD, ND, EWD and SD (F/O PFD, ND with the DMC2), (no cockpit effect with the DMC3)
- push the line key adjacent to the SYSTEM TEST indication
- the DMC1 (DMC2, DMC3) SYSTEM TEST page 1/2 comes into view with initial conditions
- obey the instructions such as: SET ADIRU...ENTER PPOS...and press the arrow line key
- the DMC 1 (DMC2, DMC3) SYSTEM TEST page 2/2 comes into view
- obey the instructions such as: MAKE SURE THAT ALL DU...
  • push the line key adjacent to the START TEST indication
- the TEST IN PROGRESS 45s indication comes into view
  • On the MCDU, DMC 1 (DMC 2, DMC 3) SYSTEM TEST comes into view
  • make sure that the display test comes into view on the CAPT PFD, ND, EWD and SD (F/O PFD and ND with the DMC2), (no cockpit effect with the DMC3)
- press the relative line key and obey the instructions
- TEST OK comes into view

B. DMC3 Test
ACTION
RESULT
1.On the panel 8VU:
  • set the EIS DMC selector switch from NORM to CAPT/3.

2.On the MCDU:
On the MCDU:
  • push the line key adjacent to the INST indication.
  • the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST INST page comes into view.
3.Push the line key adjacent to the EIS3 indication.
  • the EIS DMC3 page comes into view.
    On the EFIS/ECAM display units:
  • make sure that the CAPT PFD and ND and the upper ECAM DU operate in the maintenance mode (MAINTENANCE MODE comes into view on these three display units)
4.Push the line key adjacent to the TEST indication.
On the MCDU:
  • the EIS DMC3 TEST page comes into view.
5.Push the line key adjacent to the SYSTEM TEST indication.
  • the EIS DMC3 SYSTEM TEST page comes into view.
6.Push the line key adjacent to the RETURN indication.
  • the subsequent EIS DMC3 SYSTEM TEST page comes into view.
7.Push the line key adjacent to the START TEST indication.
  • In the scratchpad the NO RESPONSE-PRESS RETURN indication comes into view.
8.Push the line key adjacent to the RETURN indication until the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST INST page comes into view.
On the display units:
  • the CAPT PFD and ND and the upper ECAM DU go back to the normal mode.
9.Push the line key adjacent to the EIS3 indication.
On the MCDU:
  • the EIS DMC3 page comes into view.
    On the display units:
  • make sure that the CAPT PFD and ND and the upper ECAM DU operate in the maintenance mode.
10.Push the line key adjacent to the TEST indication.
On the MCDU:
  • the EIS DMC3 TEST page comes into view.
11.Push the line key adjacent to the SYSTEM TEST RESULT indication.
  • the TEST OK indication comes into view.
12.On the MCDU, push the line key adjacent to the RETURN indication until the CFDS MENU page comes into view.
On the display units:
  • the CAPT PFD and ND and the upper ECAM DU go back to the normal mode.

5. Close-up
Subtask 31-60-00-860-063-A
A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) On the MCDU, push the line key adjacent to the RETURN indication until the MAINTENANCE MENU 1/2 page comes into view
   (2) Do the EIS Stop Procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002)
   (3) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002)
   (4) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
