   (2) Do the EIS start procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001)
   (3) On one MCDU, get the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST INST menu page (Ref. AMM TASK 31-32-00-860-008)

A. X LOADING Procedure of the DMC1 from the DMC2
ACTION
RESULT
1.On the MCDU::
  • Push the line key adjacent to the EIS2 indication.
On the MCDU:
  • The DMC2 main menu page comes into view.
    On the PFD F/O and ND F/O Display Units:
  • The green MAINTENANCE MODE message comes into view.
2.On the MCDU:
  • Push the line key adjacent to the PIN PROG/STATUS AND XLOAD indication.
On the MCDU:
  • The page DMC2 PIN PROG/STATUS AND XLOAD comes into view.
3.On the MCDU:
  • Push the line key adjacent to the DMC XLOAD indication.
On the MCDU:
  • The page DMC2 DMC XLOAD comes into view.
  • Make sure that the DMC1-software P/N is amber or empty.
4.On the MCDU:
  • Push the line key adjacent to ACCESS XLOAD.
On the MCDU:
  • The page DMC2 DMC XLOAD comes into view.
5.On the MCDU:
  • Push the line key adjacent to START XLOAD.
On the MCDU:
  • The page DMC2 DMC XLOAD comes into view with the message TRANSFER IN PROGRESS DMC2 to DMC1(MAX 10MINUTES)
    INVALID DATA amber message comes into view on the PFD and ND CAPT DU's.
6.X LOAD process:
  • Wait for 10 minutes maximum.
On the MCDU:
  • The page DMC2 DMC XLOAD is displayed with the message INTEGRITY CHECK (MAX 60 SECONDS).
  • On the PFD CAPT (ND CAPT) display unit: INVALID DATA amber message comes into view.
  • Make sure that the message MAINTENANCE MODE comes into view on the EWD and SD.
  • The page DMC2 DMC XLOAD is displayed with the message DMC1 XLOAD COMPLETED in green and the message DMC SELF TEST IN PROGRESS 40s also in green.
7.On the MCDU:
  • Push the line key adjacent to the RETURN indication after the delay.
On the MCDU:
  • The page DMC2 DMC XLOAD comes into view with the newly installed software P/N displayed in green on the line DMC1.
8.On the MCDU:
  • Push the line key adjacent to RETURN to get back to the main menu page.

5. Close-up
Subtask 31-60-00-860-087-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) Do the EIS stop procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002).
   (2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (3) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
