A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration

   (1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position at the access door 824 in zone 128.
   (2) Make sure that the access door 824 is open.
   (3) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002)
   (4) Energize the CFDS

B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

4. Procedure
Subtask 31-36-34-420-050-D ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Data Management Unit (DMU)
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (2) Make an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
   (3) Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors (2).
   (4) Make sure that the electrical connectors (2) are clean and in the correct condition.
   (5) Install the DMU (1) on its rack (3).
   (6) Push the DMU (1) on its rack (3) to connect the electrical connectors (2).
   (7) Engage the nuts (4) on the lugs (5) and tighten.
   (8) Switch the operating/storage switch to the operating position.

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

   (1) Do the updating of APU hours and cycles data (Ref. AMM TASK 31-36-00-740-004) and of Engine hours and cycles data (Ref. AMM TASK 31-36-00-740-005).
   (2) Do the DMU programming procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 31-36-00-740-009).
NOTE: If the Programmable Report Inhibit and Programmable Report Limits procedures were done before with the GSE, it is not necessary to do them again.

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Close the access door 824. (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-002)
   (3) Remove the access platform(s).
