ACTION
RESULT
1.On the MCDU, on the AVIONICS STATUS page:
  • Make sure that the NO_LRU NAME DATA indication is not shown.

2.Push the line select key adjacent to the PRINT indication.
NOTE: The indication (CLASS 3) which follows the name of a system has a class 3 fault.
  • The printer prints the related page.
3.Push the line select key adjacent to the RETURN indication.
  • The CFDS MENU page comes into view.
4.Push the line select key adjacent to the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST indication.
  • The SYSTEM REPORT/TEST page comes into view.
5.To select the system with a class 3 fault:
  • Push the line select key adjacent to the name of the system (for some systems, use the right arrow key to go to the next page).
  • The page of the system comes into view.
6.Push the line select key adjacent to the CLASS 3 FAULTS or the SCHEDULED MAINT REPORT indication.
For the engines, if the two indications are shown, push the line select key adjacent to the CLASS 3 FAULT indication.
If only the SCHEDULED MAINT REPORT indication is shown, push the line select key adjacent to the SCHEDULED MAINT REPORT indication.
NOTE: In the SMR menu, the class 3 faults are identified by an asterisk.
  • The page with the list of the class 3 faults related to the system comes into view.
7.Read only the class 3 faults:
  • With no date (for a type-2 system BITE) or,
  • With the date of the last leg (for a type-1 system BITE).
For the other dates, ignore the faults because they are stopped or corrected.
NOTE: We recommended to correct all class 3 faults before or at the subsequent C-Check (refer to the related troubleshooting procedure).
NOTE: For a flight which includes two dates, you find the class 3 faults with a date different from the date of the LAST LEG REPORT (the LAST LEG REPORT always has the date of the departure).

8.Push the line select key adjacent to the RETURN indication until the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST page comes into view.

9.Do steps 5 to 8 for all the systems with the (CLASS 3) indication on the AVIONICS STATUS page.

5. Close-up
