C. Check of the Probe Heating
ACTION
RESULT
1.On the overhead circuit-breaker panel 49VU:
  • Open the circuit breaker 1GA.
On the rear circuit-breaker panel 121VU:
  • Open the circuit breaker 52GA
  • Open the circuit breaker 2GA.
On the lower ECAM DU:
  • The TAT temperature increases.
    On the upper ECAM DU:
  • Make sure that no warning message related to the probes comes into view.
NOTE: Ignore the aural warning message.
2.On the panel 49VU:
  • Close the circuit breaker 1GA.
    On the panel 121VU:
  • Close the circuit breaker 52GA
  • Close the circuit breaker 2GA.
On the lower ECAM DU:
  • The TAT temperature decreases.
3.Make sure that the heating of the probes related to the unserviceable PHC, is in operation.
For 6DA1 PHC-1
- 7DA1, 8DA1, 9DA1, 3FP1, 11FP1
For 6DA2 PHC-2
- 7DA2, 8DA2, 9DA2, 3FP2, 11FP2
For 6DA3 PHC-3
- 7DA3, 8DA3, 9DA3, 3FP3.
NOTE: You can use a THERMOMETER which can read up to 400 deg.C (752.00 deg.F) to do this check.
On the upper ECAM DU:
  • make sure that no warning message related to the probes comes into view.
  • Make sure that the related probes are hot.
On the lower ECAM DU:
  • Make sure that no status message comes into view.
On the lower ECAM DU, if the AC GEN indication comes into view:
  • It goes out at the next IDG connection.

On the lower ECAM DU, if the AIR BLEED indication comes into view:
  • Do the step that follows.
On the panel 49VU:
  • Open and close the circuit breaker 3WW.
    On the panel 121VU:
  • Open and close the circuit breaker 2WW.
On the lower ECAM DU:
  • The AIR BLEED indication goes out of view.
5. Close-up
