A. Inspection of the Engine Anti-Ice Supply-Duct Metal-Fire-Seals
(1) Do an inspection of the disjoined metal seals (2) condition:
(a) Make sure that there are:
(2) If you find damage on the metal seals (2) and/or on the flanges (full flange or castellated flange):
1 Do the rigging of the pylon anti-ice duct (1) before the next flight (Ref. AMM TASK 30-21-49-820-001).
2 Examine the full flange and the castellated flange at 800 Flight Hours/6 calendar months (whichever the earliest):
(b) If the damage is not in the permitted limits, the dispatch of the aircraft is not permitted. But some flights are permitted until the end of the day with the conditions that follow:
1 Do the rigging of the pylon anti-ice duct (1) before the next flight (Ref. AMM TASK 30-21-49-820-001).
2 Examine the full flange and the castellated flange after each flight:
5. Close-up(1) Do an inspection of the disjoined metal seals (2) condition:
(a) Make sure that there are:
- No disjoined metal seals (2) (out of the duct flanges (the castellated flange is in the core area and the full flange is in the fan area, refer to detail C)).
- No damaged metal seals (2).
(2) If you find damage on the metal seals (2) and/or on the flanges (full flange or castellated flange):
- With minimum of 1 metal seal remaining in position, refer to the typical damage and the related aircraft dispatch information on figure 602.
1 Do the rigging of the pylon anti-ice duct (1) before the next flight (Ref. AMM TASK 30-21-49-820-001).
2 Examine the full flange and the castellated flange at 800 Flight Hours/6 calendar months (whichever the earliest):
- To make sure that there is no increase in the damage
- To make sure that the remaining metal seal(s) (2) is(are) in the correct position.
- To make sure that there is no increase in the damage
- To make sure that the remaining metal seal(s) (2) is(are) in the correct position.
NOTE: If the dispatch is not permitted, contact Airbus for flyability of the pylon anti-ice duct with the damage.
(3) If you find the three disjoined and/or the damaged metal seal(s) (2): - Replace the pylon anti-ice duct (1) (Ref. AMM TASK 30-21-49-000-042) and (Ref. AMM TASK 30-21-49-400-042).
- If you replace parts, remove and install the engine (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-20-000-040) and (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-20-400-040).
