A. Safety Precautions
(1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001)
(2) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
(b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(c) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to operate:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2), is in position.
Subtask 30-21-49-865-103-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized

C. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-010):

(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) is in position.

A. Clean the Ends of the Ducts
(1) Use a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with cleaning fluid (Material No.V01-002) to clean the ends of the ducts.

B. Installation of the Pylon Anti-Ice Duct
(2) Install the stop plate (4) with the four screws (5) on the support.
(3) Make sure that the segments (3) are correctly installed in the housing (2).
Subtask 30-21-49-420-098-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE SEGMENTS ARE CORRECTLY INSTALLED IN THE HOUSING.
(1) Install the pylon anti-ice duct (1). (2) Install the stop plate (4) with the four screws (5) on the support.
(3) Make sure that the segments (3) are correctly installed in the housing (2).
C. Installation of the Starter Elbow-Duct
(1) Put the skin/junction panel (13) in position.
(2) Put the sliding bracket (8) in position on the pylon.
(3) Install the new EIPC 36-11-06-02-060 SEAL (11) on the duct (10).
(4) Put the duct (10) through the installed sliding bracket (8) in position on the pylon support.
(5) Install the clamps.
(6) Install the sliding bracket (8).
(a) Install the four bolts (14) and the four washers (15) on the pylon support and the sliding bracket (8).
1 Tighten the bolts (14).
(b) Install the bolt (17).
1 Tighten the bolt (17).
(7) Install the skin/junction panel (13) on the support and pylon support.
(a) Install the four bolts (16).
1 Tighten the bolts (16).
(b) Install two bolts (14) and two washers (15) on the upper holes of the skin/junction panel (13).
1 Tighten the bolts (14).
(c) Install the two other bolts (14) and the two washers (15) on the support.
1 Tighten the bolts (14).
(8) Tighten the clamps (9) and (12).
5. Close-up(1) Put the skin/junction panel (13) in position.
(2) Put the sliding bracket (8) in position on the pylon.
(3) Install the new EIPC 36-11-06-02-060 SEAL (11) on the duct (10).
(4) Put the duct (10) through the installed sliding bracket (8) in position on the pylon support.
(5) Install the clamps.
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE SCREW OF THE ATTACHMENT CLAMP IS IN THE CORRECT POSITION. IF IT IS NOT, THE SCREW CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE FIREWALL OF THE THRUST REVERSER COWL.
(a) Install the clamps (9) and (12) on the duct (10) to engage the duct, but do not fully tighten the clamps. (6) Install the sliding bracket (8).
(a) Install the four bolts (14) and the four washers (15) on the pylon support and the sliding bracket (8).
1 Tighten the bolts (14).
(b) Install the bolt (17).
1 Tighten the bolt (17).
(7) Install the skin/junction panel (13) on the support and pylon support.
(a) Install the four bolts (16).
1 Tighten the bolts (16).
(b) Install two bolts (14) and two washers (15) on the upper holes of the skin/junction panel (13).
1 Tighten the bolts (14).
(c) Install the two other bolts (14) and the two washers (15) on the support.
1 Tighten the bolts (14).
(8) Tighten the clamps (9) and (12).

C. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the thrust reverser halves (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-00-410-010):
