C. Get Access
   (1) Make sure that the left fan-cowl door is open:
     (a) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)
make sure that the door 437AL is open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040).
   (2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position at the engine.
4. Procedure
Subtask 29-11-49-420-062-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Top Case Drain Tube/Hose Assembly
   (1) Remove the protective covers from the drain hose/tube (10), the filter assembly, and the fluid disconnect panel.
   (2) Loosely connect the top case drain hose/tube (10) to the fluid disconnect panel. Do not torque the coupling nut at this time.
   (3) Loosely connect the drain hose/tube (10) to the hydraulic filter assembly.
Do not torque the coupling nut at this time.
   (4) Put the clamps (5) on the drain tube/hose (10). Attach the clamps (5) to the engine brackets with the bolt (20) and the washers (15). Do not torque the bolt at this time.
   (5) Make sure that the top case drain tube/hose (10) is in the correct position on the engine.
   (6) TORQUE the drain tube/hose coupling nuts to between 245 and 215 lbf.in (2.77 and 2.43 m.daN ) T.
NOTE: Use a second wrench to hold the fittings when you torque the coupling nuts.
   (7) Torque the screw on the support bracket.
CAUTION: YOU MUST TORQUE THE BOLTS IN THE SEQUENCE GIVEN. IF YOU DO NOT TORQUE THE BOLTS IN SEQUENCE, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE CASE DRAIN HOSE/TUBE ASSEMBLY.
     (a) TORQUE the screw (20) on the upper mid support bracket to between 35 and 30 lbf.in (0.40 and 0.34 m.daN )
T.
     (b) TORQUE the screw (20) on the lower mid support bracket to between 35 and 30 lbf.in (0.40 and 0.34 m.daN )
T.
     (c) TORQUE the screw (20) on the upper support bracket to between 25 and 20 lbf.in (0.28 and 0.23 m.daN )
T.
NOTE: Some top case drain tube/hoses have a tee fitting near the top engine bracket. Use a MS21914-4J cap to cap the tee fitting.
   (8) If the tube/hose (10) has a tee fitting near the top engine bracket, put a cap on the tee fitting.
   (9) TORQUE the cap to between 100 and 85 lbf.in (1.13 and 0.96 m.daN )
T.
NOTE: Use a second wrench to hold the tee fitting when you torque the cap.
   (10) Remove the container.
