C. Safety Precautions
(1) On AIR COND panel 30VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system on the ground service panel.
(3) On the HYD section of panel 40VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system.
(5) On FLAPS panel 114VU:
Subtask 29-11-49-040-085-A (1) On AIR COND panel 30VU:
- Make sure that the APU BLEED pushbutton switch is released (ON legend off).
- Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate this pushbutton switch.
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system on the ground service panel.
(3) On the HYD section of panel 40VU:
- Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system.
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system.
(5) On FLAPS panel 114VU:
- Install the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION on the flap/slat control lever (Ref. AMM TASK 27-00-00-480-002).
- Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position on the flap/slat control lever to tell persons not to operate the flap/slat controls.
- Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
- Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
- Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to operate the ENG/MODE selector switch and the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch.
- Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
- Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
D. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser for Maintenance

A. Removal of the Forward Pressure/Suction/Case Drain/Return Piping of the Green Hydraulic System in the Engine Pylon
(2) Removal of the hydraulic pipe (1):
(a) Removal of the clamp (8):
1 Remove the bolts (10) and the washers (9) that attach the clamp (8) to the structure.
2 Remove the clamp (8).
(b) Disconnect the hydraulic pipe (1) from the ICU connector (47).
1 Drain the hydraulic fluid into the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL).
(c) Hold the hydraulic pipe (1) and disconnect it from the hydraulic filter (7).
(d) Remove the hydraulic pipe (1) from the pylon.
(e) Put the PLUG - BLANKING in the disconnected line ends.
(3) Removal of the hydraulic pipe (2):
(a) Remove the sealant from the heads of the bolts (43) and (123) and around the check valve (45).
(b) Disconnect the hydraulic pipe (46) from the check valve (45).
(c) Remove the bolts (43) and (123) and the washers (44).
(d) Remove the anti-rotation device (122).
(e) Remove the sealant from the mating surfaces of the anti-rotation device (122) and the pylon.
(f) Disconnect the check valve (45) from the hydraulic pipe (2).
1 Drain the hydraulic fluid of the hydraulic pipe (2) into the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL).
2 Put the CAP - PROTECTION on the two ends of the check valve (45).
(g) Hold the hydraulic pipe (2) and disconnect it from the hydraulic filter (7).
(h) Remove the hydraulic pipe (2) from the pylon.
(i) Put the PLUG - BLANKING in the disconnected line ends.
(4) Removal of the hydraulic filter (7):
(a) Hold the hydraulic filter (7) and disconnect the hydraulic pipe (3) from it.
1 Drain the hydraulic fluid into the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL).
(b) Remove the hydraulic filter (7) from the pylon.
(c) Put the PLUG - BLANKING in the disconnected line ends.
(5) Removal of the half clamp blocks (23) and (24):
(b) Remove the bolts (20) and the washers (19) that attach the half clamp block (23) to the half clamp block (24).
(c) Remove the nuts (25).
(d) Hold the half clamp block (24) and remove the bolts (16) and the washers (15).
(e) Remove the half clamp block (24).
(f) Remove the nuts (25).
(g) Hold the half clamp block (23) and remove the bolts (18) and (21) and the washers (17) and (22).
(h) Remove the half clamp block (23).
(6) Removal of the hydraulic pipe (3):
(a) Disconnect the hydraulic pipe (3) from the hydraulic pipe (49).
(b) Removal of the three clamps (8):
1 Hold the hydraulic pipe (3).
2 Remove the bolts (10) and the washers (9) that attach the clamps (8) to the structure.
3 Remove the clamps (8).
(c) Remove the hydraulic pipe (3) from the pylon.
(d) Remove the bushing (26) from the hydraulic pipe (3).
(e) Put the PLUG - BLANKING in the disconnected line ends.
(7) Removal of the hydraulic pipe (6):
(a) Disconnect the hydraulic pipe (6) from the T-duct (41).
1 Drain the hydraulic fluid into the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL).
(b) Disconnect the hydraulic pipe (6) from the hydraulic pipe (50).
(c) Removal of the two clamps (8):
1 Remove the bolts (10) and the washers (9) that attach the clamps (8) to the structure.
2 Remove the clamps (8).
(d) Removal of the clamp blocks (30):
1 Hold the hydraulic pipe (6).
2 Remove the bolts (32) and the washers (31) that attach the clamp blocks (30) to the structure.
3 Remove the clamp blocks (30).
(e) Remove the hydraulic pipe (6) from the pylon.
(f) Remove the bushing (28) from the hydraulic pipe (6).
(g) Put the PLUG - BLANKING in the disconnected line ends.
(8) Removal of the hydraulic pipe (4):
(a) Disconnect the hydraulic pipe (4) from the coupling (42).
1 Drain the hydraulic fluid into the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL).
(b) Disconnect the hydraulic pipe (4) from the hydraulic pipe (48).
(c) Removal of the two clamps (11):
1 Hold the hydraulic pipe (4).
2 Remove the bolts (13) and the washers (12) that attach the clamps (11) to the structure.
3 Remove the clamps (11).
(d) Remove the hydraulic pipe (4) from the pylon.
(e) Remove the bushing (27) from the hydraulic pipe (4).
(f) Put the PLUG - BLANKING in the disconnected line ends.
(9) Removal of the hydraulic pipe (5):
(a) Disconnect the hydraulic pipe (37) from the check valve (38).
(b) Remove the screws (36), washers (35) and anti-rotation device (40).
(c) Disconnect the check valve (38) from the hydraulic pipe (5).
1 Remove and discard the packing (39).
2 Drain the hydraulic fluid into the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL).
3 Put the CAP - PROTECTION on the two ends of the check valve (38).
(d) Remove the screw (33) and the washer (34).
(e) Put the PLUG - BLANKING in the disconnected line ends.
(f) Disconnect the hydraulic pipe (5) from the hydraulic pipe (51).
(g) Removal of the clamp (8):
1 Hold the hydraulic pipe (5).
2 Remove the bolts (10) and the washers (9) that attach the clamp (8) to the structure.
3 Remove the clamp (8).
(h) Remove the hydraulic pipe (5) from the pylon.
(i) Remove the bushing (29) from the hydraulic pipe (5).
(j) Put the PLUG - BLANKING in the disconnected line ends.
Subtask 29-11-49-020-136-A CAUTION:
USE TWO WRENCHES TO REMOVE OR INSTALL THE TUBE COUPLING NUTS:
(1) Put a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) in position below the connections of the hydraulic lines. - ONE WRENCH TO HOLD THE UNION, AND
- ONE TO LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE COUPLING NUT.
(2) Removal of the hydraulic pipe (1):
(a) Removal of the clamp (8):
1 Remove the bolts (10) and the washers (9) that attach the clamp (8) to the structure.
2 Remove the clamp (8).
(b) Disconnect the hydraulic pipe (1) from the ICU connector (47).
1 Drain the hydraulic fluid into the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL).
(c) Hold the hydraulic pipe (1) and disconnect it from the hydraulic filter (7).
(d) Remove the hydraulic pipe (1) from the pylon.
(e) Put the PLUG - BLANKING in the disconnected line ends.
(3) Removal of the hydraulic pipe (2):
(a) Remove the sealant from the heads of the bolts (43) and (123) and around the check valve (45).
(b) Disconnect the hydraulic pipe (46) from the check valve (45).
(c) Remove the bolts (43) and (123) and the washers (44).
(d) Remove the anti-rotation device (122).
(e) Remove the sealant from the mating surfaces of the anti-rotation device (122) and the pylon.
(f) Disconnect the check valve (45) from the hydraulic pipe (2).
1 Drain the hydraulic fluid of the hydraulic pipe (2) into the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL).
2 Put the CAP - PROTECTION on the two ends of the check valve (45).
(g) Hold the hydraulic pipe (2) and disconnect it from the hydraulic filter (7).
(h) Remove the hydraulic pipe (2) from the pylon.
(i) Put the PLUG - BLANKING in the disconnected line ends.
(4) Removal of the hydraulic filter (7):
(a) Hold the hydraulic filter (7) and disconnect the hydraulic pipe (3) from it.
1 Drain the hydraulic fluid into the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL).
(b) Remove the hydraulic filter (7) from the pylon.
(c) Put the PLUG - BLANKING in the disconnected line ends.
(5) Removal of the half clamp blocks (23) and (24):
NOTE: It is necessary to remove the half clamp blocks (23) and (24) before removal of the hydraulic pipes (3), (4), (5) and (6).
(a) Remove the nuts (14). (b) Remove the bolts (20) and the washers (19) that attach the half clamp block (23) to the half clamp block (24).
(c) Remove the nuts (25).
(d) Hold the half clamp block (24) and remove the bolts (16) and the washers (15).
(e) Remove the half clamp block (24).
(f) Remove the nuts (25).
(g) Hold the half clamp block (23) and remove the bolts (18) and (21) and the washers (17) and (22).
(h) Remove the half clamp block (23).
(6) Removal of the hydraulic pipe (3):
(a) Disconnect the hydraulic pipe (3) from the hydraulic pipe (49).
(b) Removal of the three clamps (8):
1 Hold the hydraulic pipe (3).
2 Remove the bolts (10) and the washers (9) that attach the clamps (8) to the structure.
3 Remove the clamps (8).
(c) Remove the hydraulic pipe (3) from the pylon.
(d) Remove the bushing (26) from the hydraulic pipe (3).
(e) Put the PLUG - BLANKING in the disconnected line ends.
(7) Removal of the hydraulic pipe (6):
(a) Disconnect the hydraulic pipe (6) from the T-duct (41).
1 Drain the hydraulic fluid into the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL).
(b) Disconnect the hydraulic pipe (6) from the hydraulic pipe (50).
(c) Removal of the two clamps (8):
1 Remove the bolts (10) and the washers (9) that attach the clamps (8) to the structure.
2 Remove the clamps (8).
(d) Removal of the clamp blocks (30):
1 Hold the hydraulic pipe (6).
2 Remove the bolts (32) and the washers (31) that attach the clamp blocks (30) to the structure.
3 Remove the clamp blocks (30).
(e) Remove the hydraulic pipe (6) from the pylon.
(f) Remove the bushing (28) from the hydraulic pipe (6).
(g) Put the PLUG - BLANKING in the disconnected line ends.
(8) Removal of the hydraulic pipe (4):
(a) Disconnect the hydraulic pipe (4) from the coupling (42).
1 Drain the hydraulic fluid into the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL).
(b) Disconnect the hydraulic pipe (4) from the hydraulic pipe (48).
(c) Removal of the two clamps (11):
1 Hold the hydraulic pipe (4).
2 Remove the bolts (13) and the washers (12) that attach the clamps (11) to the structure.
3 Remove the clamps (11).
(d) Remove the hydraulic pipe (4) from the pylon.
(e) Remove the bushing (27) from the hydraulic pipe (4).
(f) Put the PLUG - BLANKING in the disconnected line ends.
(9) Removal of the hydraulic pipe (5):
(a) Disconnect the hydraulic pipe (37) from the check valve (38).
(b) Remove the screws (36), washers (35) and anti-rotation device (40).
(c) Disconnect the check valve (38) from the hydraulic pipe (5).
1 Remove and discard the packing (39).
2 Drain the hydraulic fluid into the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL).
3 Put the CAP - PROTECTION on the two ends of the check valve (38).
(d) Remove the screw (33) and the washer (34).
(e) Put the PLUG - BLANKING in the disconnected line ends.
(f) Disconnect the hydraulic pipe (5) from the hydraulic pipe (51).
(g) Removal of the clamp (8):
1 Hold the hydraulic pipe (5).
2 Remove the bolts (10) and the washers (9) that attach the clamp (8) to the structure.
3 Remove the clamp (8).
(h) Remove the hydraulic pipe (5) from the pylon.
(i) Remove the bushing (29) from the hydraulic pipe (5).
(j) Put the PLUG - BLANKING in the disconnected line ends.
B. Removal of the Middle Pressure/Suction/Case Drain/Return Piping of the Green Hydraulic System in the Engine Pylon
(1) Removal of the hydraulic pipe (48):
(a) Remove the bolts (52) and the washers (54) that attach the hydraulic pipe (48) to the structure.
(b) Removal of the half clamp blocks (72) and (75):
1 Remove the nuts (76).
2 Remove the bolts (70) and the washers (71) that attach the half clamp block (72) to the half clamp block (75).
3 Remove the bolt (70) and the washer (71) that attach the close comb (83).
4 Remove the nut (82).
5 Hold the close comb (83) and remove the bolt (80) and the washer (79).
6 Remove the close comb (83).
7 Remove the nut (81) from the close comb (83).
8 Hold the half clamp block (72) and remove the bolts (74) and the washers (73).
9 Remove the half clamp block (72).
10 Hold the half clamp block (75) and remove the bolts (78) and the washers (77).
11 Remove the half clamp block (75).
(c) Disconnect the hydraulic pipe (48) from the hydraulic pipe (99).
(d) Removal of the two clamps (97):
1 Hold the hydraulic pipe (48).
2 Remove the bolts (95) and the washers (96) that attach the clamps (97) to the structure.
3 Remove the clamps (97).
(e) Drain the hydraulic fluid of the hydraulic pipe (48) into the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL).
(f) Remove the hydraulic pipe (48) from the pylon.
(g) Remove the bushing (84) from the hydraulic pipe (48).
(h) Put PLUG - BLANKING on the disconnected line ends.
(2) Removal of the hydraulic pipe (49):
(a) Remove the bolts (53) and the washers (54) that attach the hydraulic pipe (49) to the structure.
(b) Disconnect the hydraulic pipe (49) from the hydraulic pipe (100).
(c) Removal of the clamp (58):
1 Remove the bolts (60) and the washers (59) that attach the clamp (58) to the structure.
2 Remove the clamp (58).
