Installation of the Pressure Relief Valve of the Green Hydraulic System
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.

Pressure Relief Valve on HP Manifold with P/N series 1559A9900Subtask 29-11-32-860-051-A
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(2) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system:
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(4) Make sure that the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(5) Make sure that the access door 197CB is open.
(6) Make sure that one of the main doors of the main gear is open (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(7) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) is in position at the main door of the main gear.
(8) Make sure that the CONTAINER 1 L (1/4 USGAL) is in position below the HP manifold.
(9) Make sure that the isolation coupling of the power transfer unit (PTU) is disconnected (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
Subtask 29-11-32-865-051-A WARNING:
OBEY THE HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.
(1) Obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002). (2) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system:
- In the cockpit on the overhead panel
- On the ground service panel of the Green hydraulic system.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(4) Make sure that the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(5) Make sure that the access door 197CB is open.
(6) Make sure that one of the main doors of the main gear is open (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(7) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) is in position at the main door of the main gear.
(8) Make sure that the CONTAINER 1 L (1/4 USGAL) is in position below the HP manifold.
(9) Make sure that the isolation coupling of the power transfer unit (PTU) is disconnected (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

A. Preparation of the Relief Valve before Installation
(1) Remove the blanking plugs from the ports of the pressure relief valve (1) and the HP manifold.
(2) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the new AIPC 29-11-14-02-250 O-RINGS (12), the new AIPC 29-11-14-02-260 BACK-UP RINGS (4), the new AIPC 29-11-14-02-270 BACK-UP RINGS (11) and the new AIPC 29-11-14-02-280 SQUARE-SECTION SEALS (10).
(3) Put the back-up rings (11) in position on the sides of the bobbins (5) without the identification groove (equipment side).
(4) Put the square-section seals (10) in position on the sides of the bobbins (5) without the identification groove (equipment side).
(5) Put the back-up rings (4) in position on the sides of the bobbins (5) with the identification groove (manifold side).
(6) Put the O-rings (12) in position on the sides of the bobbins (5) with the identification groove (manifold side).
(7) Install the bobbins (5) with the identification grooves in the ports of the manifold (Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-21-911-001).
Subtask 29-11-32-420-050-C (1) Remove the blanking plugs from the ports of the pressure relief valve (1) and the HP manifold.
(2) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the new AIPC 29-11-14-02-250 O-RINGS (12), the new AIPC 29-11-14-02-260 BACK-UP RINGS (4), the new AIPC 29-11-14-02-270 BACK-UP RINGS (11) and the new AIPC 29-11-14-02-280 SQUARE-SECTION SEALS (10).
(3) Put the back-up rings (11) in position on the sides of the bobbins (5) without the identification groove (equipment side).
(4) Put the square-section seals (10) in position on the sides of the bobbins (5) without the identification groove (equipment side).
(5) Put the back-up rings (4) in position on the sides of the bobbins (5) with the identification groove (manifold side).
(6) Put the O-rings (12) in position on the sides of the bobbins (5) with the identification groove (manifold side).
(7) Install the bobbins (5) with the identification grooves in the ports of the manifold (Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-21-911-001).
B. Installation of the Pressure Relief Valve
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Install the pressure relief valve (1) on the manifold.
(4) Install the bolts (2) and the washers (3).
(5) TORQUE the bolts (2) to between 1.80 and 1.60 m.daN (13.27 and 11.80 lbf.ft )
.
(6) Connect the bonding jumper (8) to the pressure relief valve (1) and install the bolt (6), the washer (7) and the nut (9).
(7) Tighten the nut (9).
(8) Seal the connection of the bonding jumper (8) with Polysulfide Sealant_General Purpose Brushable - (Material No.06AAA1) .
(9) Apply Coating_- Flexible Structure (Material No.04QAB2) (dyed blue) to the sealant.
Subtask 29-11-32-790-050-A (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Install the pressure relief valve (1) on the manifold.

C. Test
(1) Make sure that the fluid level in the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system is correct. Add fluid as necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-002).
(2) Pressurize the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002).
(3) Pressurize the Green hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-863-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-863-001).
(4) Examine the connection of the pressure relief valve (1) and the manifold and make sure that there are no leaks.
(5) Depressurize the Green hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-864-001).
5. Close-up(1) Make sure that the fluid level in the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system is correct. Add fluid as necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-002).
(2) Pressurize the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002).
(3) Pressurize the Green hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-863-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-863-001).
(4) Examine the connection of the pressure relief valve (1) and the manifold and make sure that there are no leaks.
(5) Depressurize the Green hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-864-001).
Subtask 29-11-32-860-052-A
A. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.
(1) Connect the isolation coupling of the power transfer unit (PTU) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-002).
(2) Remove the container.
(3) Remove the access platform.
(4) Remove the warning notices from the cockpit and the ground service panel.
Subtask 29-11-32-410-050-A (1) Connect the isolation coupling of the power transfer unit (PTU) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-002).
(2) Remove the container.
(3) Remove the access platform.
(4) Remove the warning notices from the cockpit and the ground service panel.
B. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the main door of the main gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
(3) Close the access door 197CB.
