A. Visual Inspection of the Integrated Impact Walls.
   (1) Get access to the aft wall of the ACT in the cargo compartment.
   (2) Make sure that the fasteners and screws of the integrated impact walls are correctly installed and tight.
NOTE: The integrated impact walls have protection covers and heat shields which are assembled together with screws ("R" attachment points). The integrated impact walls are attached to the ACT with quick-release fasteners ("Y" attachment points).
   (3) If you find damaged or missing fasteners ("Y" attachment points) or screws ("R" attachment points), obey the damage limits:
     (a) Damage limits of "Y" attachment points - on one half of the integrated impact walls:
1 At least three of "Y" attachment points on each half of the integrated impact walls must not be damaged.
a If you find loose fasteners and the attachment holes of the protection cover (visible part of the integrated impact walls) are not damaged, replace the fasteners AIPC 28-11-49-.
b If you find damaged fasteners, but less than three, and the protection cover at the attachment holes are damaged, then you can dispatch the aircraft in the subsequent conditions:
  • The placards must be visible
  • You must do a repair procedure of the attachment holes or replace the applicable integrated impact wall immediately (refer to step (6)).
2 Dispatch is possible with all "Y" attachment points damaged in the subsequent conditions:
  • You must remove the remaining protection cover
  • There is no damage on the heat shield (refer to step (5))
  • You must install the heat shield with new spacers
  • You must do a repair procedure at the next night stop (refer to step (6)).
     (b) Damage limits of "R" attachment points - on one half of the integrated impact walls:
1 Only one of the "R" attachment points - on each half of the integrated impact walls can be damaged or missed:
a If you find loose screws and the attachment holes of the protection cover (visible part of the integrated impact walls) are not damaged, tighten the screws.
b If you find only one damaged screw, and the attachment holes of the protection cover are damaged, then you can dispatch the aircraft in the subsequent conditions:
  • The placards must be visible
  • You must do a repair procedure of the attachment holes or replace the applicable integrated impact wall as soon as possible (refer to step (6)).
2 You can dispatch the aircraft with only one missing or one damaged attachment screw type "R" on the integrated impact walls.
   (4) Examine the integrated impact walls for cracks and damage.
NOTE: The integrated impact walls have protection covers and heat shields which are assembled together.
     (a) Examine the surface of the protection cover for cracks and damage.
     (b) If you find damage on the protection cover, refer to the damage limits (
Ref. AMM TASK 25-50-00-340-003).
     (c) If you find damage which is more than the limits, you can repair the damage (refer to step (6)), or you can dispatch the aircraft in the subsequent conditions:

  • You must remove the remaining protection covers
  • There is no damage on the heat shield (refer to step (5))
  • You must install the heat shield with new spacers
  • You must do a repair procedure of the protection cover at the next night stop (refer to step (6)).
   (5) If you have removed the protection cover, do an inspection of the heat shield for cracks and damage:
     (a) If you find damage, you can repair the damage (refer to step (6)).
   (6) Do the necessary repairs (Ref. AMM TASK 25-50-00-340-003) or (Ref. AMM TASK 25-50-00-340-004) or replace the integrated impact walls (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-49-000-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-49-400-001).
