Smoke Detector of Lavatory FS/GSSubtask 26-17-15-860-074-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) For the location of this component refer to (Ref. AMM D/O 26-17-00-00).
(3) Make sure that the aircraft is in the same configuration as for the removal task.
Subtask 26-17-15-875-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) For the location of this component refer to (Ref. AMM D/O 26-17-00-00).
(3) Make sure that the aircraft is in the same configuration as for the removal task.

Subtask 26-17-15-420-066-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Smoke Detector
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(4) Put the smoke detector (5) in its installation position on the air-extraction panel (9).
(5) Install the smoke detector (5) with the screws (3) and the washers (4).
(6) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(7) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(8) Connect the electrical connector (2) to the smoke detector (5).
(9) Make sure that the seal (11) is serviceable and in the satisfactory condition.
(10) Make sure that no electrical wiring is between the air-extraction panel (9) and the ceiling panel (1).
(11) Close the air-extraction panel (9).
Subtask 26-17-15-875-055-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL NOTE: The procedure to install all the smoke detectors is the same. Thus, the procedure to install only one smoke detector is given here.
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(4) Put the smoke detector (5) in its installation position on the air-extraction panel (9).
(5) Install the smoke detector (5) with the screws (3) and the washers (4).
(6) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(7) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(8) Connect the electrical connector (2) to the smoke detector (5).
(9) Make sure that the seal (11) is serviceable and in the satisfactory condition.
(10) Make sure that no electrical wiring is between the air-extraction panel (9) and the ceiling panel (1).
(11) Close the air-extraction panel (9).
B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Interface and Power-Up Test of the Cabin Intercommunication Data System (CIDS)
(1) Do the interface and power-up test of the CIDS through the centralized fault display-system (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-00-740-005).

D. BITE Test of the Smoke Detection Function (SDF)

E. Test of the Lavatory Smoke Detector
(1) Do an operational test of the lavatory smoke-detection system (Ref. AMM TASK 26-17-00-710-001).

Subtask 26-17-15-410-078-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the air-extraction filter (7) and the grille (8) in the air-extraction panel (9).

NOTE: You will hear a click noise when the hooks (6) engage.
