Smoke Detector of Lavatory DS/ES/HSSubtask 26-17-15-860-072-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) For the location of this component refer to (Ref. AMM D/O 26-17-00-00).
(3) Make sure that the aircraft is in the same configuration as for the removal task.
Subtask 26-17-15-865-107-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) For the location of this component refer to (Ref. AMM D/O 26-17-00-00).
(3) Make sure that the aircraft is in the same configuration as for the removal task.
B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

A. Installation of the Smoke Detector
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(4) Make sure that the seal (4) is serviceable and in the satisfactory condition.
(5) Install the seal (4) on the smoke detector (3).
(6) Put the smoke detector (3) together with the seal (4) in its installation position on the air-extraction hood (6).
(7) Install the screws (1) and the nuts (7).
(8) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
Subtask 26-17-15-865-108-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(4) Make sure that the seal (4) is serviceable and in the satisfactory condition.
(5) Install the seal (4) on the smoke detector (3).
(6) Put the smoke detector (3) together with the seal (4) in its installation position on the air-extraction hood (6).
(7) Install the screws (1) and the nuts (7).
(8) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(9) Connect the electrical connector (2) to the smoke detector (3). B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Interface and Power-Up Test of the Cabin Intercommunication Data System (CIDS)
(1) Do the interface and power-up test of the CIDS through the centralized fault display-system (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-00-740-005).

D. BITE Test of the Smoke Detection Function (SDF)
(1) Do the BITE test of the SDF (system test) (Ref. AMM TASK 26-10-00-740-801).

E. Test of the Lavatory Smoke Detector
(1) Do an operational test of the lavatory smoke-detection system (Ref. AMM TASK 26-17-00-710-001).
5. Close-up(1) Do an operational test of the lavatory smoke-detection system (Ref. AMM TASK 26-17-00-710-001).
Subtask 26-17-15-410-077-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the panel (5) and install the washers (10) and the screws (11).
(3) Put the grille (12) and the air filter (13) into the air extraction hood (6).
(4) Install the air extraction grille (8) on the air extraction hood (6) with the screws (9).
(5) Close the door of the related lavatory.
Subtask 26-17-15-860-073-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the panel (5) and install the washers (10) and the screws (11).
(3) Put the grille (12) and the air filter (13) into the air extraction hood (6).
(4) Install the air extraction grille (8) on the air extraction hood (6) with the screws (9).
(5) Close the door of the related lavatory.
B. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
