C. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) In the cockpit, on the overhead panel, on the ELEC section of panel 35VU, make sure that the GALLEY or GALY & CAB pushbutton switch (2XA) is pushed (the OFF legend is off).
   (2) On the galley control panel, make sure that the related circuit breaker(s) of the espresso maker is (are) closed.
   (3) Pressurize the potable water system (Ref. AMM TASK 38-10-00-614-001).
4. Procedure
Subtask 25-35-00-710-065-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Do the Operational Test of the Espresso Maker:
ACTION
RESULT
1.At the espresso maker:
  • Lock the handle in the up position.
At the espresso maker:
  • Push the ON/OFF pushbutton.
  • The indicator in the ON/OFF pushbutton comes on.
  • All the lights start to flash two or three times, then the WATER IS COLD indicator comes on.
  • Push the STEAM pushbutton and then push the SMALL CUP pushbutton while the WATER IS COLD indicator is still on.
  • You can hear a beep.
  • After a short time the espresso maker has the correct temperature.
  • The WATER IS COLD indicator goes off and the WATER IS HOT indicator comes on.
  • Push the SMALL CUP pushbutton and then the LARGE CUP pushbutton.
  • You can hear two beeps.
2.At the espresso maker:
  • Put a coffee pod into the coffee pod holder and lock the handle in the down position.
At the espresso maker:
  • Put a large coffee cup below the coffee pod holder and push the LARGE CUP pushbutton.
  • The espresso maker starts a brew cycle.
  • After a short time:
  • The brew cycle is finished.
  • Empty the coffee cup, put it below the coffee pod holder and push the SMALL CUP pushbutton.

  • After a short time.
  • The brew cycle is finished.
3.At the espresso maker:
  • Empty the coffee cup, put it below the coffee pod holder and push the SMALL CUP pushbutton.
At the espresso maker:
  • The espresso maker starts a brew cycle.
  • Lift the handle during the brew cycle.
  • The brew cycle stops immediately.
4.At the espresso maker:
  • Empty the coffee cup, put it below the coffee pod holder and push the SMALL CUP pushbutton.
At the espresso maker:
  • The espresso maker starts a brew cycle.
  • Push the SMALL CUP pushbutton during the brew cycle.
  • The brew cycle stops immediately.
5.At the espresso maker:
  • Do the step 3 and 4 for the LARGE CUP function.

6.At the espresso maker:
  • Empty the coffee cup, put it below the coffee pod holder and push the SMALL CUP.
At the espresso maker:
  • The espresso maker starts a brew cycle.
7.At the galley:
  • Close the potable-water shut-off valve.
At the espresso maker:
  • After a short time the brew cycle stops and the NO WATER indicator comes on.
  • Open the potable-water shut-off valve.
  • The NO WATER indicator goes off.
8.At the espresso maker:
  • Empty the coffee cup, put it below the steam outlet.
  • Lock the brew handle in the up position.

  • Push the PUSH FOR STEAM button.
  • Steam comes out of the steam outlet as long as the button is pushed.
9.At the espresso maker:
  • Do not push any pushbuttons for approx. 15 minutes.
At the espresso maker:
  • After this time the espresso maker starts a standby phase. The WATER IS HOT indicator stays on and the WATER IS COLD indicator starts to flash.
  • Push any pushbutton.
  • The temperature of the water increases until the water is at the correct temperature.
  • After a short time:
  • The WATER IS HOT indicator stays on and the WATER IS COLD indicator goes off.
10.At the espresso maker:
  • Push the ON/OFF pushbutton.
At the espresso maker:
  • All indicators go off.
5. Close-up

A. Close Access
   (1) Put the related circuit breaker(s) and switch(es) to their initial configuration.
   (2) Depressurize the potable water system (Ref. AMM TASK 38-10-00-614-002).
   (3) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.

B. De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
