B. Get Access
   (1) Make sure that the fan cowl door(s) is(are) open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-802):
     (a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)

     (b) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 2)

C. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser System for the Ground Maintenance
WARNING: YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
   (1) Make sure that you did the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for the ground maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805).

D. Get Access
   (1) Make sure that the left thrust-reverser cowl-door is open (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-802):
     (a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)
451AL.
     (b) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 2)
461AL.
CAUTION: REMOVE THE PROTECTION COVERS FROM THE OPENINGS AS NECESSARY TO PREVENT ENGINE DAMAGE.
   (2) Remove all the necessary COVER - PROTECTION to prevent damage to the engine.
4. Procedure
CAUTION: WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
Subtask 24-21-61-420-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the IDG Power Feeder-Cables
   (1) Put the power feeder cables (1) in position on the engine.
   (2) Connect the power feeder cables (1) to the pylon interface terminal-studs as follows:
     (a) If removed, install the pillar bolts (5) and the washers (6) on the pylon interface terminal.
     (b) If necessary, TORQUE the pillar bolts (5) to between 21.2 and 19.5 lbf.in (0.24 and 0.22 m.daN ) T.
     (c) Connect the white power feeder-cable (1) (neutral) to the stud (N) and install the applicable washer (3) and the applicable nut (2).
     (d) Connect the red power feeder-cable (1) (A phase) to the stud (T1) and install the applicable washer (3) and the applicable nut (2).
     (e) Connect the yellow power feeder-cable (1) (B phase) to the stud (T2) and install the applicable washer (3) and the applicable nut (2).
     (f) Connect the blue power feeder-cable (1) (C phase) to the stud (T3) and install the applicable washer (3) and the applicable nut (2).
     (g) TORQUE the nuts (2) to between 212 and 195 lbf.in (2.40 and 2.20 m.daN )
T.
     (h) Install the terminal cover (4) and the captive bolts on the pillar bolts (5).
     (i) TORQUE the captive bolts to between 8.85 and 7.97 lbf.in (0.10 and 0.09 m.daN )
T.
WARNING: USE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
     (j) Safety the captive bolts with the P05-289Safety Wire (Lockwire) - Steel, Corrosion Resistant.
   (3) Install the power feeder cables (1) in the grommets (16) and (19) as follows:
     (a) Install the power feeder cables (1) in the grommets (16).
     (b) Install the grommets (16) in the clamps (17).
     (c) Install the power feeder cables (1) in the grommets (19).
     (d) Install the grommets (19) in the clamps (18).
     (e) Tighten the bolts of the clamps (17) and (18) with your hand.
   (4) Connect the power feeder cables (1) to the IDG terminal-block studs as follows:
     (a) Connect the white power feeder-cable (1) (neutral) to the stud (N) and install the applicable nut (8).
     (b) Connect the red power feeder-cable (1) (A phase) to the stud (T1) and install the applicable nut (8).
     (c) Connect the yellow power feeder-cable (1) (B phase) to the stud (T2) and install the applicable nut (8).
     (d) Connect the blue power feeder-cable (1) (C phase) to the stud (T3) and install the applicable nut (8).
     (e) TORQUE the nuts (8) to between 168 and 145 lbf.in (1.90 and 1.64 m.daN )
T.
     (f) Install the terminal cover (9), the washers (10) and the bolts (7) on the IDG terminal block.
     (g) TORQUE the bolts (7) to between 22.1 and 20.4 lbf.in (0.25 and 0.23 m.daN )
T.
   (5) Examine the assembly for foreign objects, damage and correct installation.

C. Reactivation of the Thrust Reverser System
   (1) Do the reactivation of the thrust reverser system after the ground maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-440-805).

D. Close Access
   (1) Close the fan cowl door(s) (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-802):
     (a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)
437AL and/or 438AR.
     (b) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 2)
447AL and/or 448AR.
Subtask 24-21-61-710-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
E. Test
   (1) Do an idle power test (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-720-811).
   (2) Make sure that IDG 1(2) operates correctly.
     (a) Do the EIS start procedure (upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
     (b) On the ECAM control panel, push the ELEC key to get the "ELEC" page:
  • Make sure that the voltage of the IDG is 115VAC.
  • Make sure that the frequency of the IDG is 400Hz + or - 5Hz.

A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
