A. Preparation for Installation
   (1) Make sure that the doors of the overhead stowage compartment and the VCC (8) are open.
   (2) Make sure that the closeout panel (2) is removed.

A. Preparation for Installation
   (1) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized.
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (2) Make sure that the STEPLADDER 1.0 M (3.3 FT) is in position below the left Overhead Stowage Compartment (OHSC) between frames FR20 and FR21.
   (3) Make sure that the access door to the Video Control Center (VCC) is opened.

4. Procedure

A. Installation of the Control Panel (CP)
F Control Panel ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
   (4) Attach the mounting plate (4) to the CP (1) with the screws (5).
   (5) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
CAUTION: DO NOT TOUCH THE CONNECTOR PINS OR OTHER CONDUCTORS ON THE COMPONENT DURING THE PROCEDURE. IF YOU TOUCH THESE CONDUCTORS, ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO COMPONENT.
   (6) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
   (7) Connect the electrical connectors (6) to the CP (1).
   (8) Carefully put the CP (1) assembly into the installation position in the VCC (8).
   (9) Tighten the captive screws (7), to attach the mounting plate (4) to the VCC (8).
   (10) Install the bonding cable (9) and the nut (10), to the bonding stud on the mounting plate (4).
   (11) Make sure that the electrical bonding is correct (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).

A. Installation of the Removable Display Unit (RDU)
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
   (4) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
   (5) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
   (6) Connect the electrical connector (7) to the receptacle of the Display Docking Station (DDS) (1).
   (7) Tighten the jack screws (8).
   (8) Carefully put and hold the DDS (1) in its installation position.
   (9) Install the DDS (1) with the washers (3) and the screws (4).
   (10) TORQUE the screws (4) to between 0.30 and 0.23 m.daN (26.55 and 20.35 lbf.in ) T.
   (11) Carefully put the bottom hooks of the RDU (5) in their installation position in the slots (2).
   (12) Carefully apply a load to the upper part of the RDU (5) until it fully engages in the DDS (1).

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

   (2) Install the closeout panel (2):
     (a) Put the panel (2) in position on the VCC (8)
     (b) Tighten the captive screws (3).
   (3) Close the applicable stowage compartment and VCC (8) doors.

B. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.
   (1) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).

   (1) Remove the stepladder.
   (2) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
