BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE ENGINE AFTER SHUTDOWN. THE ENGINE CAN STAY HOT FOR A LONG TIME. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, INJURY CAN OCCUR.

A. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser
Subtask 05-24-30-010-052-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT YOU DO THE DEACTIVATION OF THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO MAINTENANCE WORK ON OR AROUND THE THRUST REVERSER.
IF YOU DO NOT DO THIS PROCEDURE, THERE IS A RISK OF UNWANTED OPERATION AND THUS OF INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1) Make sure that the thrust reverser is unserviceable (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-481-041). B. Get Access
(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position at the zones 437 and 447.
(2) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open:
437AL 438AR,
447AL 448AR (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040).
Subtask 05-24-30-040-050-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position at the zones 437 and 447.
(2) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open:
437AL 438AR,
447AL 448AR (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040).
C. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser
Subtask 05-24-30-010-052-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT YOU DO THE DEACTIVATION OF THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO MAINTENANCE WORK ON OR AROUND THE THRUST REVERSER.
IF YOU DO NOT DO THIS PROCEDURE, THERE IS A RISK OF UNWANTED OPERATION AND THUS OF INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1) Deactivate the thrust reverser Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) for ground maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-012). D. Get Access
(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position at the zones 437 and 447.
(2) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open:
437AL 438AR,
447AL 448AR (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-010).
Subtask 05-24-30-040-050-F ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position at the zones 437 and 447.
(2) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open:
437AL 438AR,

E. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser
Subtask 05-24-30-010-052-F ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT YOU DO THE DEACTIVATION OF THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO MAINTENANCE WORK ON OR AROUND THE THRUST REVERSER.
IF YOU DO NOT DO THIS PROCEDURE, THERE IS A RISK OF UNWANTED OPERATION AND THUS OF INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1) Deactivate the thrust reverser system for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805). F. Get Access
(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position at zone 437 (447).
(2) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-802):
437AL 438AR 447AL and 448AR.
4. Procedure(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position at zone 437 (447).
(2) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-802):
437AL 438AR 447AL and 448AR.

A. Do a general visual inspection of the fan cowl.
Make sure that:

- There is no damage (corrosion, leaks or cracks) on all the parts of the components and the structure you can see.
- All the installations (wiring) are correctly attached.

A. Reactivation of the Thrust Reverser
(1) Make sure that the thrust reverser is serviceable (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-081-041).
Subtask 05-24-30-410-052-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the thrust reverser is serviceable (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-081-041).
B. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are closed:
437AL 438AR,
447AL 448AR (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-040).
(2) Remove the access platform(s).

(1) Activate the thrust reverser Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) after ground maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-440-012).

D. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are closed:

(2) Remove the access platform(s).

F. Close Access

(3) Remove the access platform(s).
