Subtask 79-22-01-720-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Functional Test of the Magnetic Chip Collectors
   (1) Remove each chip collector probe (Ref. AMM TASK 79-22-01-000-801).
   (2) Test each chip collector probe as follows:
     (a) Use each chip collector probe to lift the CARBON STEEL BALL 1 IN (25.4 MM) or equivalent material and weight.
NOTE: The ball is anticipated to be available during maintenance visits and/or shop visits. If the ball is not available, you can perform the method described in step 4.A.(2)(b).
     (b) Hang the magnetic probe on a horizontal steel surface so that the magnet has to fully support the weight of the probe. This is not the preferred strength test but it may be used at stations that do not have the CARBON STEEL BALL 1 IN (25.4 MM) required to perform the method described in step 4.A.(2)(a).
     (c) If any of the probes do not operate correctly, replace the magnetic chip collector assembly (Ref. AMM TASK 79-22-01-000-801) and (Ref. AMM TASK 79-22-01-400-801).
   (3) Install each chip collector probe again (Ref. AMM TASK 79-22-01-400-801).
