3. Job Set-up
Subtask 78-32-41-860-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
   (2) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off. Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
   (3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) is in position.

B. Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040):
   (1) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)

C. Make sure that the thrust reverser is unserviceable (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-481-041).
4. Procedure
Subtask 78-32-41-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
CAUTION: DO NOT PUSH ON THE STOW SWITCH LEVER WHEN BLOCKER DOOR IS OPENED OR DAMAGE COULD OCCUR.
A. Installation of the Lower Blocker Door
NOTE: Apply a witness line of finish paint EA4 blue 5991 (Material No.CP2245) on all nuts and connections when you have done the check of their torques.
   (1) Apply a thin layer of molykote G rapid (Material No.CP2104) on the pivot bolts.
   (2) Install the blocker door in open position.
   (3) Install the two pivot bolts, the washers and the castellated nuts.
F Lower Blocker Door ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
   (4) Measure the run-on torques (A) of two castellated nuts.
   (5) TORQUE each nut to between 1022.7 and 925.3 lbf.in (11.56 and 10.46 m.daN ) T plus torque (A).
   (6) Loosen the two nuts.
   (7) Measure the run-on torques (B) of the two nuts again.
   (8) TORQUE each nut to between 797 and 531 lbf.in (9.01 and 6.00 m.daN )
T plus torque B.
   (9) Install with new
AIPC 78-32-41-01-022 COTTER PIN (10) or AIPC 78-32-41-01-372 COTTER PIN (10) and AIPC 78-32-41-01-022 COTTER PIN (20) or AIPC 78-32-41-01-372 COTTER PIN (20)
   (10) Apply a thin layer of molykote G rapid (Material No.
CP2104) on the contact finger pin.
   (11) Attach the contact finger pin with the bolts and washers.
   (12) TORQUE the bolts to between 45 and 35 lbf.in (0.51 and 0.40 m.daN ) T.
   (13) Install the pivot access doors:
     (a) Attach the two pivot access doors to the blocker door with the screws.
     (b) TORQUE the screws to between 45 and 35 lbf.in (0.51 and 0.40 m.daN )
T.
   (14) Install the lower access door:
     (a) Attach the lower access door to the thrust reverser with the screw.
     (b) TORQUE the screws to between 45 and 35 lbf.in (0.51 and 0.40 m.daN )
T
   (15) Install the hydraulic actuator clevis on the blocker door:
F Hydraulic Actuator ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
     (a) Attach the clevis to the blocker door with the four bolts and the washers.
     (b) TORQUE the bolts to between 80 and 70 lbf.in (0.90 and 0.79 m.daN ) T.
   (16) Install the clevis access door on the blocker door:
F Hydraulic Actuator ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
     (a) Attach the clevis access door to the blocker door with the three screws.
     (b) TORQUE the screws to between 45 and 35 lbf.in (0.51 and 0.40 m.daN ) T.
   (17) Install the deploy switch access door:
F Deploy-Switch Access Door ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
     (a) Attach the deploy-switch access door with the three screws.
     (b) TORQUE the screws to between 45 and 35 lbf.in (0.51 and 0.40 m.daN ) T.
   (18) Stow the blocker door:
CAUTION: BLOCKER DOOR LATCH MUST BE OPENED WHEN YOU CLOSE THE BLOCKER DOOR OR DAMAGE CAN OCCUR.
     (a) Manually move the blocker door to the closed position (
Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-41-860-002).
   (19) Make sure that the blocker door is correctly aligned (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-41-820-001).
F Blocker Door ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
     (a) Make sure that the lockout bolt hole in the blocker door is aligned with the fitting hole.
5. Close-up

A. Make thrust reverser serviceable (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-081-041).

B. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Close the fan cowls doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-040):
     (a) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)

     (b) FOR [1000EM2] (ENGINE-2)

   (3) Remove the access platform(s).
   (4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).

C. Do an operational test:
   (1) Do an operational test of the thrust reverser system (Ref. AMM TASK 78-31-00-710-042).
NOTE: As an alternative procedure you can do this operational test without the CFDS:
