A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) On overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off. Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
(3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) is in position.

B. Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040):
(1) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)

C. Make sure that the thrust reverser is unserviceable (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-481-041).

4. Procedure

A. Manual Stowing of the Blocker Door
(1) Remove the safety sleeve from the blocker door actuator (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-41-080-001).
(2) Push in on the blocker door until the latch engages to close the blocker door.
(3) Put the thermal blankets (30), (35) and (40) on the blocker door latch (15). Turn the Dzus fastener on the blankets (30), (35) and (40) 1/4 turn to lock it.

A. Make the thrust reverser serviceable (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-081-041).

B. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-040):
(a) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)
437AL 438AR
(b) FOR [1000EM2] (ENGINE-2)
447AL 448AR.
(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).

C. Operational Test
(1) Do the operational test of the thrust reverser system (Ref. AMM TASK 78-31-00-710-042).

NOTE: As an alternative procedure, you can do the operational test without the CFDS:

The first method with the engine not running (Ref. AMM TASK 78-31-00-710-043)
The second method with the engine running (Ref. AMM TASK 78-31-00-710-043).
