A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).

B. Get Access
(1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040):

(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position.

D. Move the blocker door to the open position manually (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-41-860-001).

E. Install the HIX3005 SAFETY SLEEVE - PIVOTING DOOR ACTUATOR on the blocker door actuator (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-41-480-001).

4. Procedure

A. Do a visual inspection of the blocker door seal as follows:

NOTE: The seal only may be replaced. The seal removal and replacement procedures are found in CMM 783236. The original equipment manufacturer recommends that you replace the seal in a workshop.

INSPECT/CHECK	MAXIMUM SERVICEABLE LIMITS	REMARKS
1.Examine the blocker door seal for:
A.Damage	No damage permitted	If you find some damage, replace the blocker door (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-41-000-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-41-000-002) and (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-41-400-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-41-400-002).
B.Missing	No missing seal permitted	If the seal is missing, replace the blocker door (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-41-000-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-41-000-002) and (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-41-400-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-41-400-002).
C.Cut	No full through-cut permitted in the longitudinal direction	If you find full through-cut in the longitudinal direction, replace the blocker door (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-41-000-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-41-000-002) or (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-41-400-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-41-400-002).

5. Close-up

A. Remove the HIX3005 SAFETY SLEEVE - PIVOTING DOOR ACTUATOR from the blocker door actuator without making the thrust reverser operational (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-41-080-001).

B. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Stow the blocker door:

CAUTION: BLOCKER DOOR LATCH MUST BE OPENED WHEN YOU CLOSE THE BLOCKER DOOR OR DAMAGE CAN OCCUR.

(a) Move the blocker door to the closed position manually (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-41-860-002).

C. Make sure of the alignment of the blocker door (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-41-820-001).
