A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).

(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to start the engine.

(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position.

E. Install the HIX3005 SAFETY SLEEVE - PIVOTING DOOR ACTUATOR on the blocker door actuator (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-41-480-001).

A. Do a visual inspection of the blocker door seal and the seal retainer as follows:
5. Close-upNOTE: The seal only may be replaced. The seal removal and replacement procedures are found in CMM 783236 . The original equipment manufacturer recommends that you replace the seal in a workshop.

| 2.Examine the seal retainer for: A.Gap | 0.039 in. (1 mm) maximum gap between the seal retainer and the seal | If the gap is not in the serviceable limits, reshape the seal retainer as follows: Apply a non-metallic (i.e. wood, plastic) block on the area to be reshaped. Reshape the seal retainer with a MALLET - WOODEN through repeated soft actions. |

A. Remove the HIX3005 SAFETY SLEEVE - PIVOTING DOOR ACTUATOR from the blocker door actuator without the thrust reverser operational (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-41-080-001).

(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Stow the blocker door:

(2) Stow the blocker door:
CAUTION:
BLOCKER DOOR LATCH MUST BE OPENED WHEN YOU CLOSE THE BLOCKER DOOR OR DAMAGE CAN OCCUR.
(a) Move the blocker door to the stow position manually (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-41-860-002).
Permissible Wear - Blocker Door
