Installation of the Thrust Reverser Hydraulic Manual Control Valve
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE ENGINE PARTS AFTER THE ENGINE SHUTDOWN. USE APPLICABLE THERMAL GLOVES. THE ENGINE PARTS CAN STAY HOT FOR ONE HOUR AFTER SHUTDOWN AND CAN BURN YOU.
CAUTION:
DO NOT LET HYDRAULIC FLUID FALL ON THE ENGINE. UNWANTED HYDRAULIC FLUID MUST BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY WITH A CLEAN LINT FREE CLOTH. THE FLUID CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACE PROTECTION AND TO SOME PARTS.

A. Prepare the installation of the manual control valve (7).
(1) Make sure that the lever (4) is in the NORMAL position and lockwired.
(2) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.

(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
B. Installation of the Thrust Reverser Hydraulic Manual Control Valve.
(1) Remove the blanking plug from the pipe (1) and immediately connect the pipe (1) to the valve (7).
(3) Make sure that the hydraulic fluid flows drops by drops out of the valve (7) port to the HCU.
Subtask 78-31-44-420-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove the blanking plug from the pipe (1) and immediately connect the pipe (1) to the valve (7).
NOTE: Hydraulic fluid flows from the pipe (1). Connect the pipe (1) to the valve (7) before the end of hydraulic flow. If you do not the reservoir will become empty.
(2) Tighten the pipe nut (8) by hand. (3) Make sure that the hydraulic fluid flows drops by drops out of the valve (7) port to the HCU.
NOTE: The non-return valve of the manual control valve (7) has two slots, and you have to let the empty in the valve (7) become full before you check the hydraulic fluid leakage.
C. Installation of the Manual Control Valve:
(1) Put the manual control valve (7) in position and install the bolts (2) with the washers (3). Tighten the bolts (2).
(2) Connect the pipe (5) to the manual control valve (7).
(3) TORQUE the pipe nuts (6) and (8) to between 8.3 and 7.5 m.daN (61.21 and 55.31 lbf.ft )
