A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine shutdown occurred five minutes or more before you do this procedure.
(3) On overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 75-32-42-010-118-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to start the engine.

(2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position.

C. Deactivate the thrust reverser.
Subtask 75-32-42-010-119-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE THRUST REVERSER HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT (HCU) IS DEACTIVATED BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND THE THRUST REVERSER. IF THE HCU IS NOT DEACTIVATED, THERE IS A RISK OF UNWANTED THRUST REVERSER OPERATION WHICH CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1) Deactivate the thrust reverser hydraulic control unit (HCU) (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-012).D. Open the thrust reverser halves.
(1) Open the thrust reverser halves (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-00-010-010):

4. Procedure(1) Open the thrust reverser halves (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-00-010-010):

Subtask 75-32-42-020-074-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. If a missing bushing is located on the unison ring connector:
(1) Remove the unison ring connector (Ref. AMM TASK 75-32-42-000-010).

B. If a missing bushing is located on the unison ring:
(1) Remove the affected lever arm.

C. If required, remove residual bushing material.
(1) Use the standard workshop equipment.

D. Visually examine the bushing holes.
(1) Determine if a bushing hole has any indications of wear and damage on the unison ring.
(a) If it does, reject the engine.
(2) Determine if a bushing hole has any indications of wear and damage on unison ring connector.
(a) If it does, reject the unison ring connector.

(2) Determine if a bushing hole has any indications of wear and damage on unison ring connector.

E. Examine the Variable Stator Vane (VSV) levers and pins.
(1) Visually inspect the Variable Stator Vane (VSV) levers and pins for evidence of wear and damage.
(2) If it is damaged or if the wear is evident, replace the VSV lever.

F. Install the replacement bushings.
(1) Install the required bushing(s):

G. Visually examine the bushings.
(1) Visually inspect to confirm that the bushings are installed correctly.
(2) If the bushing has a flange, use the GAGE 0.025 MM (0.001 IN) - FEELER to make sure that the bushings are correctly seated and that the safety features are engaged.
Subtask 75-32-42-420-079-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Visually inspect to confirm that the bushings are installed correctly.
(2) If the bushing has a flange, use the GAGE 0.025 MM (0.001 IN) - FEELER to make sure that the bushings are correctly seated and that the safety features are engaged.
H. Installation of the unison ring connector.
(1) Install the unison ring connector (Ref. AMM TASK 75-32-42-400-010).

(1) Inspect the VSV mechanism (Ref. AMM TASK 75-32-42-200-010).
