Installation of the VSV Actuating Levers

VSV Actuating LeversSubtask 75-32-42-860-061-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) On the maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(3) Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 75-32-42-010-107-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) On the maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(3) Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
B. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-010):

C. Make sure that the thrust reverser Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) is deactivated (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-012).
4. ProcedureSubtask 75-32-42-420-070-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Install the VSV Actuating Levers
(2) Install the bolt (1).
(3) TORQUE the bolt (1) to between 105 and 85 lbf.in (1.19 and 0.96 m.daN ) (Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013).
Subtask 75-32-42-410-103-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THE VANE SPINDLE IS FULLY ENGAGED INTO THE LEVER.
(1) Put the actuating lever (2) into position on the vane spindle. (2) Install the bolt (1).
(3) TORQUE the bolt (1) to between 105 and 85 lbf.in (1.19 and 0.96 m.daN )
(Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013). B. Install the Drive Brackets, if Removed
(1) Install the drive bracket VSV3:
(a) Put the drive bracket (2) into position.
(b) Install the two bolts (4) and two nuts (3).
(c) TORQUE the two nuts (3) to between 105 and 85 lbf.in (1.19 and 0.96 m.daN ) (Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013).
(d) Install the tie rod (1) to the drive bracket (2) (Ref. AMM TASK 75-32-42-400-011).
(2) Install the drive bracket VSV4:
(a) Put the drive bracket (10) into position.
(b) Install the two bolts (12) and two nuts (11).
(c) TORQUE the two nuts (11) to between 105 and 85 lbf.in (1.19 and 0.96 m.daN ) (Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013).
(d) Install the tie rod (9) to the drive bracket (10) (Ref. AMM TASK 75-32-42-400-011).
(3) Install the drive bracket VSV5:
(a) Put the drive bracket (6) into position.
(b) Install the two bolts (8) and two nuts (5).
(c) TORQUE the two nuts (5) to between 105 and 85 lbf.in (1.19 and 0.96 m.daN ) (Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013).
(d) Install the tie rod (7) to the drive bracket (6) (Ref. AMM TASK 75-32-42-400-011).

(b) Install the two bolts (4) and two nuts (3).
(c) TORQUE the two nuts (3) to between 105 and 85 lbf.in (1.19 and 0.96 m.daN )
(Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013). (d) Install the tie rod (1) to the drive bracket (2) (Ref. AMM TASK 75-32-42-400-011).
(2) Install the drive bracket VSV4:
(a) Put the drive bracket (10) into position.
(b) Install the two bolts (12) and two nuts (11).
(c) TORQUE the two nuts (11) to between 105 and 85 lbf.in (1.19 and 0.96 m.daN )
(Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013). (d) Install the tie rod (9) to the drive bracket (10) (Ref. AMM TASK 75-32-42-400-011).
(3) Install the drive bracket VSV5:
(a) Put the drive bracket (6) into position.
(b) Install the two bolts (8) and two nuts (5).
(c) TORQUE the two nuts (5) to between 105 and 85 lbf.in (1.19 and 0.96 m.daN )
(Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013). (d) Install the tie rod (7) to the drive bracket (6) (Ref. AMM TASK 75-32-42-400-011).
Subtask 75-32-42-410-110-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the thrust reverser halves (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-00-410-010):
