CP8005 Safetywire 0.024 in. (0.6 mm) or CP8006 Safety cable 0.032 in. (0.8 mm) from the bolt (68).
2 Move the left modulated turbine cooling valve (67) actuating arm to align the modulated turbine cooling valve link with the holes in the modulated turbine cooling valve pushrod connector.
3 Apply Nickel never-seez (Material No.CP2619) on the threads of the bolt (68) and the threads of the modulated turbine cooling actuator clevis thread insert.
4 Install the bolt (68) in the bolt normal position threaded insert on the left modulated turbine cooling valve (67).
5 TORQUE the bolt (68) to between 30 and 25 lbf.in (0.34 and 0.28 m.daN )
.
6 InstallCP8005 Safetywire 0.024 in. (0.6 mm) or CP8006 Safety cable 0.032 in. (0.8 mm) .
(b) Remove the bolt and the nut that attach the left modulated turbine cooling valve (67) and clevis to the left modulated turbine cooling actuator (Ref. AMM TASK 75-23-10-000-802).
(c) Manually operate the left modulated turbine cooling valve (67) through its full range by moving the operating lever by hand.
1 If the left modulated turbine cooling valve (67) fails the manual actuation check:
a Either lock it out (Ref. AMM TASK 75-23-00-040-801) or
b Replace it (Ref. AMM TASK 75-23-10-000-802) and (Ref. AMM TASK 75-23-10-400-802).
(d) Install and torque the bolt and the nut that attach the left modulated turbine cooling valve (67) and clevis to the left modulated turbine cooling actuator rod end (Ref. AMM TASK 75-23-10-400-802).
5. Close-upNOTE: The manual operation of the left modulated turbine cooling valve (67) will determine if the left modulated turbine cooling valve (67) is serviceable.
(1) Manually actuate the left modulated turbine cooling valve (67) as follows: WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL SAFETYWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT SAFETYWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE SAFETYWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
WARNING:
USE GOGGLES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL SAFETY CABLE. EACH TIME YOU CUT SAFETY CABLE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE SAFETY CABLE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT.
(a) Do a check of the bolt (68) of the left modulated turbine cooling valve (67): - If the bolt (68) is installed in the bolt normal position, go to Para. 4.A.(1)(b).
- If the bolt (68) is installed in the lockout position, do the steps that follow:
2 Move the left modulated turbine cooling valve (67) actuating arm to align the modulated turbine cooling valve link with the holes in the modulated turbine cooling valve pushrod connector.
3 Apply Nickel never-seez (Material No.CP2619) on the threads of the bolt (68) and the threads of the modulated turbine cooling actuator clevis thread insert.
