A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
(b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(c) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to operate:

The ENG/MODE selector switch, and
The ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch.

(2) On the ENG section of maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).

C. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser System for Maintenance

WARNING: YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.

(1) Make sure that you did the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-809).

(1) Make sure that the left thrust reverser cowl-door is open (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-806):

4. Procedure
Subtask 75-21-05-420-050-A

A. Installation of the HPT ACC Valve
(1) Remove all the COVER - PROTECTION and the CAP - PROTECTION from the openings, tubes, hoses and connectors.
(2) Put the HPT ACC valve (1) in position on the bracket (10), bracket (11) and bracket (14).
(3) Apply engine oil (Material No.CP2442) on the threads of the two bolts (8) and the bolt (18).
(4) Install the two bolts (8) and the two washers (21) that attach the HPT ACC valve (1) to the bracket (10) and the bracket (11). Do not tighten the two bolts (8).
(5) Install the bolt (18) and the washer (20) that attach the HPT ACC valve (1) to the bracket (14).
(6) TORQUE the two bolts (8) and the bolt (18) to between 124 and 106 lbf.in (1.40 and 1.20 m.daN )

(7) Use the two WRENCH - TORQUE to connect the drain tube (4) B-nut to the HPT ACC valve (1) fitting.
(8) TORQUE the drain tube (4) B-nut to 285 lbf.in (3.22 m.daN).
(9) Install the ACC wye duct (17) as follows:
(a) Put the ACC wye duct (17) in position between the HPT ACC valve (1), ACC inlet duct (16) and LPT ACC valve (12).
(b) Loosely install the hose clamp (19) that attaches the ACC wye duct (17) to the HPT ACC valve (1).
(c) Loosely install the hose clamp (13) that attaches the ACC wye duct (17) to the Low Pressure Turbine (LPT) ACC valve (12).
(d) Loosely install the hose clamp (15) that attaches the ACC wye duct (17) and the ACC inlet duct (16) to the engine bracket.
(e) TORQUE the hose clamp (13), hose clamp (15) and hose clamp (19) to between 38 and 32 lbf.in (0.43 and 0.36 m.daN )

(10) Loosely install the hose clamp (7) that attaches the HPT aft valve elbow duct (9) to the HPT ACC valve (1).
(11) TORQUE the hose clamp (7) to between 38 and 32 lbf.in (0.43 and 0.36 m.daN )

(12) Apply the engine oil (Material No.CP2442) on the threads of the four bolts (6).
(13) Install a new EIPC 73-00-00-20-220 GASKET SEAL (3) between the MTC-ACC fuel HYDR manifold (5) and the HPT ACC valve (1).

(14) Install the bracket (22) on top of the MTC-ACC fuel HYDR manifold (5).

(15) Install the four bolts (6) that attach the MTC-ACC fuel HYDR manifold (5) to the HPT ACC valve (1).
(16) TORQUE the four bolts (6) to between 124 and 106 lbf.in (1.40 and 1.20 m.daN )

(17) Connect the electrical connector (2) to the HPT ACC valve (1). Tighten the coupling ring. If necessary, use the PLIERS - CONNECTOR, JAW, SOFT.

5. Close-up

(2) Close the left thrust reverser cowl-door (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-410-806):
