C. On the MAINTENANCE PNL 50VU:
Make sure that the FADEC GND PWR 1(2) pushbutton switch is released.
The ON legend of this pushbutton switch is on.
Do an ENG 1(2) dry motor (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-710-045) to remove the remaining fuel before you do the test.
4. Procedure
Subtask 74-00-00-710-057-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Do this test.
   (1) On the left or right MCDU get the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST page (Ref. AMM TASK 31-32-00-860-012).
WARNING: BEFORE YOU PUSH THE MAN START PUSHBUTTON SWITCH, MAKE SURE THAT, ON THE ECAM DISPLAY UNIT, THE PRESSURE AT THE STARTER VALVE INLET IS ZERO PSI. IF THE PRESSURE IS NOT ZERO PSI, THE ENGINE CAN ROTATE AND CAUSE INJURY.
WARNING: BEFORE YOU PUSH THE MAN START PUSHBUTTON SWITCH, MAKE SURE THAT, ON THE ECAM DISPLAY UNIT, THE PRESSURE AT THE STARTER VALVE INLET IS ZERO PSI. IF THE PRESSURE IS NOT ZERO PSI, THE ENGINE CAN ROTATE AND CAUSE INJURY.
   (2) Select NEXT PAGE.

RESULT
1.Push the line key adjacent to the ENG indication.
The ENG menu comes into view.
2.Push the line key adjacent to the FADEC 1A(2A) indication.
The FADEC 1A(2A) menu comes into view.
3.Push the line key adjacent to the SYSTEM TEST indication.
The SYSTEM TEST menu comes into view (Detail A).
4.Push the line key adjacent to the IGNITOR TEST indication.
The IGNITOR TEST menu comes into view (Detail B).
5.On the ENG PNL:
A.Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.

B.Set the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch to ON.
SWITCH 1 ENABLED comes into view (Detail C).
6.Push the line key adjacent to TURN ON IGNITOR indication (Detail C).
  • IGNITOR 1 ON comes into view.
  • Make sure that the igniter plug A of the engine 1(2) makes a noise at the same time (Detail D).
7.Push the line key adjacent to TURN OFF IGNITOR indication (Detail D).
  • TURN ON IGNITOR comes into view (Detail C).
  • Make sure that the noise of the igniter plug A stops.
8.Push the line key adjacent to SWITCH 1 ENABLED indication (Detail C).
SWITCH 2 ENABLED comes into view (Detail E).
9.Push the line key adjacent to TURN ON IGNITOR indication (Detail E).
  • IGNITOR 2 ON comes into view (Detail F).
  • Make sure that the igniter plug B of the engine 1(2) makes a noise at the same time.
10.Push the line key adjacent to TURN OFF IGNITOR indication (Detail F).
  • TURN ON IGNITOR comes into view.
  • Make sure that the noise of the igniter plug B stops (Detail E).
11.On the ENG PNL:
A.Set the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch to OFF.

12.Push the left line key adjacent to the RESELECT MASTER LEV OFF indication.
The SYSTEM TEST menu comes into view.
NOTE: The RETURN indication does not show. To close the test page, use the line key which normally has the RETURN function. This key stays valid.
NOTE: If failures are found during the test, you must use the GROUND SCANNING function, read the fault message on the screen and do the related troubleshooting.
13.Do the procedure again for the channel B of the FADEC 1(2).

14.Push the line key adjacent to the RETURN indication until the CFDS menu comes into view.
The CFDS menu comes into view.
15.Push the MCDU MENU key
The MCDU menu comes into view.

A. On the panel MAINTENANCE PNL 50VU:
Push the FADEC GND PWR 1(2) pushbutton switch. The ON legend goes off.
