B. Get Access
(1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-802):
(a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)

(b) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 2)
447AL, 448AR.
(2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) in position.

4. Procedure
Subtask 73-21-00-210-055-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. General Visual Inspection (GVI) of the FADEC System:
(1) Do an inspection of the FADEC system components as follows:

Electronic Engine Control (EEC)	Looseness	Not permitted. Tighten the bolts that attach the EEC (Ref. AMM TASK 73-21-01-400-801).
	Cracks in the EEC housing	Not permitted. Replace the EEC (Ref. AMM TASK 73-21-01-000-801) and (Ref. AMM TASK 73-21-01-400-801).
	Loose connectors on the pressure sense hoses attached to the EEC	Not permitted. Tighten the B-nuts on the pressure sense hoses (Ref. AMM TASK 73-21-01-400-801).
	Loose electrical connectors	Not permitted. Tighten the electrical connectors (Ref. AMM TASK 73-21-01-400-801).
Data Storage Unit (DSU)	Looseness	Not permitted. Tighten the electrical connector (Ref. AMM TASK 70-70-00-910-802).
	Cracks in the DSU housing	Not permitted. Replace the DSU (Ref. AMM TASK 73-21-02-000-801) and (Ref. AMM TASK 73-21-02-400-801).
Prognostics and Health Management Unit (PHMU)	Looseness	Not permitted. Tighten the bolts that attach the PHMU (Ref. AMM TASK 77-31-01-400-801).
	Cracks in the PHMU housing	Not permitted. Replace the PHMU (Ref. AMM TASK 77-31-01-000-801) and (Ref. AMM TASK 77-31-01-400-801).
	Loose electrical connectors	Not permitted. Tighten the electrical connectors (Ref. AMM TASK 77-31-01-400-801).

(2) Do an inspection of the electrical connectors at the ECC and the PHMU for secure installation as follows (Ref. AMM TASK 70-70-00-910-802):
(a) Make sure that the connector coupling nut is tight.
(b) Make sure that the backshell coupling nut is tight on the connector.
(c) Make sure that there is no movement of the harness in the backshell clamps and that the clamp screws are tight.
(d) Make sure that any harness braided shield that terminates on the backshell is tight in the clamp.
(3) Examine the assembly for foreign objects, damage and correct assembly.

5. Close-up

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-802):
(a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)
437AL, 438AR.
(b) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 2)
447AL, 448AR.
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
