C. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser for Maintenance
Subtask 73-13-02-010-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
(1) Make sure that you did the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805). D. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the right thrust reverser cowl-doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-802):

4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the right thrust reverser cowl-doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-802):

A. Installation of the Fuel Return Pump
(2) Install the fuel return pump (1) on the fuel manifold as follows:
(a) Apply theP03-001 lubricant, aircraft turbine engine to the threads of the fuel return pump (1).
(b) Apply theP18-023 primer, zinc molybdate to the mating faces of the fuel manifold and fuel return pump (1).
(c) Apply theP03-001 lubricant, aircraft turbine engine to the new EIPC 73-13-02-01-090 PACKING (4) and new EIPC 73-13-02-01-080 PACKING (5).
(d) Install the packings (4) and (5) on the fuel return pump (1).
(e) Install the fuel return pump (1) on the fuel manifold.
(f) TORQUE the fuel return pump (1) to between 275 and 250 lbf.in (3.11 and 2.83 m.daN )

(3) Connection of the tube
(4) TORQUE the B-nut to between 225 and 200 lbf.in (2.54 and 2.26 m.daN )
.
(5) TORQUE the B-nut again to between 225 and 200 lbf.in (2.54 and 2.26 m.daN )
.
(8) TORQUE the bolt (3) to between 44 and 38 lbf.in (0.50 and 0.43 m.daN )
.
(9) Examine the assembly for foreign objects, damage and correct assembly.
5. Close-upCAUTION:
WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
(1) Removal of the protection covers CAUTION:
REMOVE THE PROTECTION COVERS FROM THE OPENINGS AS NECESSARY TO PREVENT ENGINE DAMAGE.
(a) Make sure that you remove all the necessary COVER - PROTECTION to prevent damage to the engine. (2) Install the fuel return pump (1) on the fuel manifold as follows:

(d) Install the packings (4) and (5) on the fuel return pump (1).
(e) Install the fuel return pump (1) on the fuel manifold.
(f) TORQUE the fuel return pump (1) to between 275 and 250 lbf.in (3.11 and 2.83 m.daN )
. (3) Connection of the tube
CAUTION:
USE A SECOND WRENCH TO HOLD THE MATING PARTS WHEN YOU LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE TUBE OR HOSE NUTS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS CAUTION, YOU CAN TWIST OR CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE TUBES OR HOSES.
(a) Connect the tube (FD04) to the pump (1). (4) TORQUE the B-nut to between 225 and 200 lbf.in (2.54 and 2.26 m.daN )
. (5) TORQUE the B-nut again to between 225 and 200 lbf.in (2.54 and 2.26 m.daN )
. NOTE: Do not loosen the B-nut.
(6) Apply the Antigalling Compound (Material No.P06-054) to the threads of bolt (3). NOTE: For new or refurbished bolts or nuts with baked-on lubricant, do not do the wet application.
(7) Attach the tube (FD04) with the clamp (2) and bolt (3) to the bracket. (8) TORQUE the bolt (3) to between 44 and 38 lbf.in (0.50 and 0.43 m.daN )
. (9) Examine the assembly for foreign objects, damage and correct assembly.

A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the thrust reverser cowl-doors (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-410-802):
