A. Safety Precautions
(1) Make sure that the safety barriers are in position.
(2) Make sure the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the engine 1 (2).
(3) Make sure the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position on the hydraulic ground connector to tell persons not to connect it.
Subtask 57-26-16-860-050-A (1) Make sure that the safety barriers are in position.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) is in position below the applicable engine pylon, zone 470 (480).
(2) Make sure the applicable fixed pylon fairing has been removed (Ref. AMM TASK 54-54-00-000-001).
(3) Make sure the applicable access panels are removed:
(a) For the left wing:
(b) For the right wing:
4. Procedure(1) Make sure the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) is in position below the applicable engine pylon, zone 470 (480).
(2) Make sure the applicable fixed pylon fairing has been removed (Ref. AMM TASK 54-54-00-000-001).
(3) Make sure the applicable access panels are removed:
(a) For the left wing:

A. Preparation of a Replacement Component
(1) Use the bracket assembly (4) that you removed as a template to drill 6.35 mm (0.25 in.) holes in the new bracket assembly. Discard the used bracket assembly (4).
Subtask 57-26-16-420-051-A (1) Use the bracket assembly (4) that you removed as a template to drill 6.35 mm (0.25 in.) holes in the new bracket assembly. Discard the used bracket assembly (4).
NOTE: The new bracket assembly (4) has 4.76 mm (0.20 in.) pilot holes.
B. Preparation for Installation
(1) Use a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) to clean the mating surfaces of the bracket assembly (4) and the reinforcing plate.
(2) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(4) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-Fuel Tank Brushable - (Material No.06ABA1) to the interface surfaces of the bracket assembly (4) and the reinforcing plate.
Subtask 57-26-16-420-050-A (1) Use a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) to clean the mating surfaces of the bracket assembly (4) and the reinforcing plate.
(2) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(4) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-Fuel Tank Brushable - (Material No.06ABA1) to the interface surfaces of the bracket assembly (4) and the reinforcing plate.
C. Installation of the Pylon Fairing Bracket
(1) Install the bracket assembly (4) on the reinforcing plate with the bush and bearing on the centerline of the pylon.
(2) Install the bolts (1), the washers (3) and the nuts (2).
(3) Remove the unwanted sealant with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
5. Close-up(1) Install the bracket assembly (4) on the reinforcing plate with the bush and bearing on the centerline of the pylon.
(2) Install the bolts (1), the washers (3) and the nuts (2).
(3) Remove the unwanted sealant with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the applicable access panels:
(a) For the left wing:
(b) For the right wing:
(3) Install the applicable fixed pylon fairing (Ref. AMM TASK 54-54-00-400-001).

(1) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(2) Remove the safety barriers.

(4) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
