MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.

- MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CABLES ARE INSTALLED CORRECTLY. INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) Make sure that the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS is installed on the flap/slat control lever.
(2) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.
(3) Make sure that the SAFETY BARRIER(S) are in position.
Subtask 57-51-37-860-050-A (1) Make sure that the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS is installed on the flap/slat control lever.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration

Subtask 57-51-37-420-050-A
A. Preparation for Installation
(1) Clean the component interfaces and/or the adjacent area with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(4) If the access panel seal is damaged, replace it (Ref. AMM TASK 57-51-37-960-001).
Subtask 57-51-37-420-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Clean the component interfaces and/or the adjacent area with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.

B. Installation of the Access Panels
(1) Install the access panel 573AB(673AB) (6) as follows:
(a) Put the access panel (6) in position and attach it with two of the outer camloc fasteners (5).
(b) Set the access panel (6) so that dimension X is between 0.1 mm (0.0039 in.) and 4.3 mm (0.1693 in.) along the full length of the panel. Try and set the clearance as near as possible to 2.0 mm (0.0787 in.).
(c) Attach the access panel (6) to the wing with the remaining camloc fasteners (5).
(d) Fill the clearance between the access panel (6) and the trailing edge of the wing skin with Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) .
(2) Install the access panel 573BB(673BB) (4) as follows:
(a) Put the access panel (4) in position and attach it with two of the outer camloc fasteners (3).
(b) Set the access panel (4) so that dimension X is between 0.1 mm (0.0039 in.) and 4.3 mm (0.1693 in.) along the full length of the panel. Try and set the clearance as near as possible to 2.0 mm (0.0787 in.).
(c) Attach the access panel (4) to the wing with the remaining camloc fasteners (3).
(d) Fill the clearance between the access panel (4) and the trailing edge of the wing skin with Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) .
(3) Install the access panel 573CB(673CB) (2) as follows:
(a) Put the access panel (2) in position and attach it with two of the outer camloc fasteners (1).
(b) Set the access panel (2) so that:
(d) Fill the clearance between the access panel (2) and the trailing edge of the wing skin with Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) .
(4) Install the cover plate 573EB(673EB) (11) as follows:
(a) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06AAC1) or Polysulfide Sealant-Low Density Multi Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06ACC1) to the mating surfaces of the cover plate (11) and the rear false spar.
(b) Put the cover plate (11) in position and install the bolts (12).
(c) Put the pipes in position as recorded in the removal procedure.
(d) Put the plate (7) and the plate clamp (8) in position and install the bolts (9).
(e) Put the pipes in position as recorded in the removal procedure.
(f) Install the new AIPC 57-51-05-32-040 STRIP-PROTECTIVE (10).
(5) Install the access panel 571AB(671AB)(15) as follows:
(a) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) to the mating surfaces of the access panel (15) and the rear false spar.
(b) Put the access panel (15) in position with the nut plate (14) and install the bolts (16) with the nuts (13).
(c) Torque the bolts (16) to between 0.8 and 0.7 m.daN (70.80 and 61.95 lbf.in )

(c) Attach the access panel (4) to the wing with the remaining camloc fasteners (3).
(d) Fill the clearance between the access panel (4) and the trailing edge of the wing skin with Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) .
(3) Install the access panel 573CB(673CB) (2) as follows:
(a) Put the access panel (2) in position and attach it with two of the outer camloc fasteners (1).
(b) Set the access panel (2) so that:
- dimension X is between 0.1 mm (0.0039 in.) and 4.3 mm (0.1693 in.) along the full length of the panel. Try and set the clearance as near as possible to 2.0 mm (0.0787 in.).
- dimension Y is between 3.0 mm (0.1181 in.) and 6.0 mm (0.2362 in.) along the full width of the panel outboard end. Try and set the clearance as near as possible to 4.0 mm (0.1575 in.).
(d) Fill the clearance between the access panel (2) and the trailing edge of the wing skin with Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) .
(4) Install the cover plate 573EB(673EB) (11) as follows:
(a) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06AAC1) or Polysulfide Sealant-Low Density Multi Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06ACC1) to the mating surfaces of the cover plate (11) and the rear false spar.
(b) Put the cover plate (11) in position and install the bolts (12).
(c) Put the pipes in position as recorded in the removal procedure.
(d) Put the plate (7) and the plate clamp (8) in position and install the bolts (9).
(e) Put the pipes in position as recorded in the removal procedure.
(f) Install the new AIPC 57-51-05-32-040 STRIP-PROTECTIVE (10).
(5) Install the access panel 571AB(671AB)(15) as follows:
(a) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) to the mating surfaces of the access panel (15) and the rear false spar.
(b) Put the access panel (15) in position with the nut plate (14) and install the bolts (16) with the nuts (13).
(c) Torque the bolts (16) to between 0.8 and 0.7 m.daN (70.80 and 61.95 lbf.in )
. B. Installation of the Access Panels
(1) Install the access panel 573AB(673AB) (6) as follows:

(b) Set the access panel (4) so that dimension X is between 0.1 mm (0.0039 in.) and 4.3 mm (0.1693 in.) along the full length of the panel. Try and set the clearance as near as possible to 2.0 mm (0.0787 in.).
(c) Attach the access panel (4) to the wing with the remaining camloc fasteners (3).
(d) Fill the clearance between the access panel (4) and the trailing edge of the wing skin with Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) .
(3) Install the access panel 573CB(673CB) (2) as follows:
(a) Put the access panel (2) in position and attach it with two of the outer camloc fasteners (1).
(b) Set the access panel (2) so that:
(d) Fill the clearance between the access panel (2) and the trailing edge of the wing skin with Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) .
(4) Install the cover plate 573EB(673EB) (8) as follows:
(a) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06AAC1) or Polysulfide Sealant-Low Density Multi Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06ACC1) to the mating surfaces of the cover plate (8) and the rear false spar.
(b) Put the cover plate (8) in position.
(c) Put the pipes in position as recorded in the removal procedure.
(d) Install the cover plate (8) with the bolts (7).
(5) Install the access panel 571AB(671AB) (11) as follows:
(a) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) to the mating surfaces of the access panel (11) and the rear false spar.
(b) Put the access panel (11) in position with the nut plate (10) and install the bolts (12) with the nuts (9).
(c) Torque the bolts (12) to between 0.8 and 0.7 m.daN (70.80 and 61.95 lbf.in )

5. Close-up(1) Install the access panel 573AB(673AB) (6) as follows:
(a) Put the access panel (6) in position and attach it with two of the outer camloc fasteners (5).
(b) Set the access panel (6) so that dimension X is between 0.1 mm (0.0039 in.) and 4.3 mm (0.1693 in.) along the full length of the panel. Try and set the clearance as near as possible to 2.0 mm (0.0787 in.).
(c) Attach the access panel (6) to the wing with the remaining camloc fasteners (5).
(d) Fill the clearance between the access panel (6) and the trailing edge of the wing skin with Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) .
(2) Install the access panel 573BB(673BB) (4) as follows:
(a) Put the access panel (4) in position and attach it with two of the outer camloc fasteners (3).
(b) Set the access panel (4) so that dimension X is between 0.1 mm (0.0039 in.) and 4.3 mm (0.1693 in.) along the full length of the panel. Try and set the clearance as near as possible to 2.0 mm (0.0787 in.).
(c) Attach the access panel (4) to the wing with the remaining camloc fasteners (3).
(d) Fill the clearance between the access panel (4) and the trailing edge of the wing skin with Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) .
(3) Install the access panel 573CB(673CB) (2) as follows:
(a) Put the access panel (2) in position and attach it with two of the outer camloc fasteners (1).
(b) Set the access panel (2) so that:
- dimension X is between 0.1 mm (0.0039 in.) and 4.3 mm (0.1693 in.) along the full length of the panel. Try and set the clearance as near as possible to 2.0 mm (0.0787 in.).
- dimension Y is between 3.0 mm (0.1181 in.) and 6.0 mm (0.2362 in.) along the full width of the panel outboard end. Try and set the clearance as near as possible to 4.0 mm (0.1575 in.).
(d) Fill the clearance between the access panel (2) and the trailing edge of the wing skin with Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) .
(4) Install the cover plate 573EB(673EB) (8) as follows:
(a) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06AAC1) or Polysulfide Sealant-Low Density Multi Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06ACC1) to the mating surfaces of the cover plate (8) and the rear false spar.
(b) Put the cover plate (8) in position.
(c) Put the pipes in position as recorded in the removal procedure.
(d) Install the cover plate (8) with the bolts (7).
(5) Install the access panel 571AB(671AB) (11) as follows:
(a) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) to the mating surfaces of the access panel (11) and the rear false spar.
(b) Put the access panel (11) in position with the nut plate (10) and install the bolts (12) with the nuts (9).
(c) Torque the bolts (12) to between 0.8 and 0.7 m.daN (70.80 and 61.95 lbf.in )

A. Removal of Equipment
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Remove the safety barriers.
(4) Remove the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS from the flap/slat control lever.
(5) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Remove the safety barriers.
(4) Remove the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS from the flap/slat control lever.
(5) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
